  1. Sweet. Man I asked around alot of places and No one knew. One thing that hacks me off about the Domingo is that No wrecking yards seemed to keep any parts for them. So if you damage the pannels or any thing you most like wont be able to get any thing.
  2. Im looking at getting a Subaru Domingo Van but the problem is its missing its alternator. I can not seem to find a replacement at any of the wrecking yards or even a brand new alt. Its fitted with the 1.2L 3 cylinder engine and is 4WD. Ive got a parts book for both a 87,88 Justy and the Domingo Van and they are look totally different. So does any one know is a Justy one would work? Or if there one off a different make and model that would work? Any help would be great. Thanks
  3. Mind you there are also going to be quite a few pump hikes for more taxes. Gas is also going up tomorrow as well because of the emissions trading scheam Prehaps buy reg in mileage instead... My other car Im lucky to do 250kms are year if that... sometimes it only goes down to get a wof then it gets parked up for another 3-6months
  4. More increases happening on thursday... Saw it on Cambel live. Look at the link to the video. http://www.3news.co.nz/ACC-levies-to-hit-business-fleets-hard/tabid/817/articleID/163378/Default.aspx
  5. Or hill climb car There was one in NZ got 1st and was running B4 Legacy turbo motor and 4wd 5spd.
  6. Heres a good artical done by one of aussie classic car magazines A very good read http://lautista.com.au/01/2010/06/subaru-svx/
  7. I would never use smith and smith. That told me it would cost 2000 dollars to replace the bloody windscreen in one of my brumbys. I use the 2 fix it guy in chch to do any glass work. He does a propper job. Removes all the old rubber sealant. Treats any possible rust spots. and has a good price.
  8. I thought that was the case but just wanted to check.
  9. Whats the CVA? So if you have a crack that goes horizontaly along the bottom of the windscreen. lets say about 30cm from the bottom. The crack is about 7/8 accross the windscreen. but is not in the way of where you look. Should it fail the COF? Thanks
  10. I have a few COF questions reguarding Trucks / Buses. Some of these may seem dumb.. but want to check up on this... What are the Regulations for these? For a new COF are you aloud to have a crack in a windscreen? What about a non working speedo? If you have a blown blub for a Fog lamp would that have to be replaced for a new COF? Do all the side orange marker lights have to be working for a COF? Thanks
  11. Well I ended up driving to work and back home. Went into town then back to work again. About 70% of people I was following today on the roads was doing 30km to 45km an hour :
  12. Just had a read of the Poll on Stuff.co.nz site.. Most people said they stayed home. Results
  13. You know why it was so low? dagnabbit weather so hardly any one could/wanted to go any were If they did the same thing next year it wouldnt have the same affect We went on the cruse to timaru and saw 1 cop the whole way there and back..... It was a hollow threat from the police : : I agree with that. I couldnt be bothered going any where because of the weather so I just stayed at home or went to my GF place.
  14. I was very happy with the last one so I am a starter for this years one. One DVD please
  15. Are you sure theres not some one letting your tyres down each morning? I actually knew some one that happened too lol
  16. Ive got a silver top quad throttles off a toyota 4AGE That I was originally thinking of using on my SVX. I got 6 Throttle bodys all up.
  17. Independant throttlebodys are pretty expensive.. But I do like the sound of using them
  18. Dad and his mate had thought the speed Tolerance was 5km any way. So that wont change there driving lol
  19. I actually know of a guy that got pulled over for going slower than the speed limit. I think he was going about 10km under. The cop gave him a warning and let him go. Also been told by the cops that they only like people to stay within the speed limit by about 5 or 10 kms.
  20. More people will be driving carefully so not to get tickets lol.. like driving at 30kms a hour in 50km zones... Its becoming more common... I get stuck behind at least 2-3 people a day doing that speed lol
  21. Not Quite... EG33 is lossely based on the EJ22 but most things are different.. for a start the pistons are different to EJ22 pistons.. Only thing that I can think of the top of my head that is the same is Conrods. Infact theres bearly any thing you can use off a EJ22.. To build one its really big money. You will also run into cooling problems... They are a good engine tho I plan to do a major build sometime down the track on my EG33. Theres guys still trying to sort out problems with there builds... Im just waiting on some more fixes to go ahead and see how they prove them selves.
  22. Subaru Badge of Ownership Looks pretty neat Appity this is only for Subaru owners in the states http://www.badgeofownership.com/Default.aspx
  23. I would be a starter for that if I had the cash... Still I would rather have a RX
  24. Um you mean stainless steel panels lol
  25. but that IS yours isn't it??? It was DRFVDRs back in the 1990s. I think he said it got written off... Ive been searching around for one of these for years but had no luck so far.
