Well for a start the Boxer engine. Im not kean on V8s/V6s Inlines and Rotarys. How the Old stuff keeps going and goin and going. Big fan of the Boxer 6s 360, FF1, 1400, 1600, Leone, Omega, Alcyone, SVX are all pretty cool ;D For Me subarus are In the blood. And I would drive it hard. also for a long time there it was the car i drove from home to work on very cold mornings and drove it hard then to when cold :-[ Ive never had to do any work to it apart from fitting new water pump. its up to 260,000 plus Kms Auto ive blown 2nd in it tho

Sand is only good for removing rust of thicker steel and bodys... aka cars 1970s and before. Note mondern steel car bodys cant be sandblased cause steel is to thin and the sand causes build up of heat and wrap body pannels like buggary. sand is of cause uses glass or quarts sand. sand can eat away at softer metals too Soda is pretty much baking soda being blasted at hi pressure. Cant be reused and they go thru alot of it. I know it can be very dare How much did they say they could do a body for?

EA82 non turbo is Very reliable... But the turbo 1s can be bit suspect.... Saying that my old vortex did 299,900 kms on all original equipment like turbo etc... Been looked after really well since new and had Amsoil used since 15,000kms

It maybe the Coolant temp sensor thingy? Dad had prob with 1 on his impreza. Was very hard to start and ran like crap when it did run. had simlar probs like you had described. Had new one put in and it ran mint ever since. Some thing simlar happened with my old XT6. but that time it was the wires where corroded going to it. i solded some wires on to it and put new plug on to it and it ran great after that.

Well one guy Ive found very good for exhaust system repairs etc is Safe R exhausts. Hes miles cheaper than most others too He does great work.

So true... But EJ15 is relible as hell too Its very hard to kill a EA71 and EA81 engine

There was a special brat pack option avaible from june 92. had padded roll bar with mounting points for spot lights, matching nudge bar on front, chrome tow bar, colourful side graphics, white wheels the leone name was changed because big managering director of subaru NZ didnt like leone so changed the name to omega. also had the subaru REX called the subaru Ace if i remember right?

its actually not a halo but is called the Brumby GL Sports released for 1990 still has targa tops. Halo model dis continued in Dec 1986.

Yeas i thought that was a good wee vid. alot of people dont know much about the history of subaru. Some think the legacy was the 1st subaru lol Say subaru made a ute and had some one laught at me and say No they didnt : Yeas i was thinking that too. The earlyest subaru sponced race car was a GL1400 Coupe in 1972... Never been reged for Road use. Has a massive heavy cage in it. And i recon some of the white SVXs look good while others dont.... all the white ones are a pearl white i think?

Guys that run svxs in autocross and some track racing events say they need a baffled sump etc if they havnt already fitted one. They are good under normal driving, just doing some track wrk they get surging
