  7. Do they have enought Storage in wellington region? In CHCH/ Canterbury area I know they where running into Storage problems Before they built the new tanks here a few years ago... They had to build tanks then be cause if they left it any latter The steel wouldnt had been available and we be have fuel sortages now... They should just run 91 and 98 and ditch 95
  8. I Do know some some guys that run a PWR alloy raditors in there SVX that they race, also I think it was fitted with a Oil Cooler? Still suffered from the heating prob, He had to stop using it for racing cause the over heating was getting worse.
  9. I wonder whys that is? Its availble down here in CHCH
  10. I know I if I had the cash i would get block sleved and then bore them out more. But thats would be so expensive. and would have to be careful in caser the liners desided to move a lil bit. Theres also a problem With the blocks over heating... and thats in Stock form not turboed or supercharged. They do not Know why it does that. Mite be the Water pump not pumping enought liters. Or it mite be not anought cooling around the back of the cylinders. They still doing reserach into that

  13. Cheap Rego What You Dislike: Needs time to be spent on it, need pull strip down and almost full restoration. ( Just Really Time Consuming ) Why You Bought It: Odd Ball, Rare, Made by Fuji, Cheap to run, Cheap Rego, Considered at the time to be very up there as quaity goes. ellectric Start What Your Future Plans Are: Full Restore.. Hopefully engine should be fine just give it a degrease, Nice new paint, Fibre Glass Work, use it for rides on fine days etc.

    Certs

That would be a NO (visit the WOF manual available online and also the LVVT cert threshold for more info) Simply changing a gearbox from one type to another is not a certable mod/change. Although do let your insurance company know As long as your model of car came in both Manual or Auto its fine you do not need cert. But if your car only came out in auto from factory ( no manual availble at all ) then its needs a cert. Since you would most likely have to cut hole in firewall etc since there wouldnt be hole for clutch cable or etc. Thats what LTSA told me when i Enquired.
  15. I thought that too when i saw GL10. But apparntly they called the very early XT4s GL10s ( I think the ones from 1985 ) Yea i saw the digi dash on that. Its been added by the guy I would say. Its a very hard to convert it over to a Digi dash.
  16. the top of the line turbo 1800 vortexs/ XT4s up to 1987 came with digi dashes. base models came with analogue gauges. But XT6s only came with analogue gauges Nah i ment the XT6 was made from late 1987 for 1988 market (maybe trial cars for dealers?) made them to 1991.
  17. That be nice not having to touch timming chains for that long What I would like is a hybrid motor based on EG33 but cam chain and verable valves and better pump and lighter. I would Be happy with that ;D But sadly i dont have the monney to build something as fancy as that

  22. I sold my late 1987 one. Have you checked Japan? 1 comes up from time to time? XT6s wernt sold untill late 87. How come you can only get a 88? Also inst there a import rule if you want to buy a car from here and import it over you had to live here for a year?
  23. Car 1989 Vortex 6 Mods diff lock, light up grade, legacy front shocks Thinks u like Good handeling, no one knows whats it is, always gets looks, its fitted with a 6, runs great. very aerodynamic. What you dislike wished it was manual, has a wrapped disk rotor, they werent sold here new so getting parts are alot harder... and the turbo verson is very different, Why you brought it After having one it was great but had stuffed auto and crappy subspection, i had supplyed the old owner alot of parts he couldnt get so when he was ready to get rid of it he offered it to me. What your future plans are fix wrapped rotor and fix small auto leak, convert to manual, maybe drop a svx engine in, exhaust with maybe lake pipes, Rear LSD, up grade interior trim, and turbo bonnet.
  24. Car 1973 Subaru 1400 GSR Mods allarm, sony stero, polished inlet manifold Thinks u like Really amazing handeling for a car thats 36 years old, loves to rev, fast, cool synthetic wooden dash, confitble, 2 door coupe and in superlight in stock trim. cool 70s stylinng, Cheap to run What you dislike The small amount of Rust it has Why you brought it Dad had one in the 70s. i love the old skool stuff and wanted 1 ever since i remember. What your future plans Chrome lots of motor stuff, New replica of factory sports exhaust, up grade to higher amp alt, new shocks, new paint, pretty much want to redo every thing on it make it like new again
