  1. Why do fggts need gloves, drip trays and clutch alignment tools?
  2. Not at all anal. I just do thinks up as tight as I can usually. If it is to do with engine/bolt ons, I'm more careful. If it's to do with pulling the engine apart, I take it to someone who knows what they're doing.
  3. Any Ombudsman you can threaten to take them too?
  4. I wouldn't have thought it to of mattered, because the chains are either on the front or rear (on rwd cars). Which isn't as bad as having them both on the left or right, like when using odd tyres, as long as the same brand (similar tread depth), are paired on the front or back and not the left or right. It should be fine?
  5. Post a pic of the manual, I maybe able to help translate it.
  6. Ewwwwwwww ...so is there a skiing thread?
  7. Where is the snowboarding thread on clubsub?
  8. What did you sign up for? Have always been active on Aus forums. So, when I moved over to the land of the long white cloud, I searched for a Kiwi/suby forum. Where did you hear about clubsub? ..google What would you like to see more of? Meets/cruises/general chin wags If you often visit but never post is there a reason or do you feel you get what you need without asking? Usually find what I need by searching, otherwise I just ask. Is there a tutorial for searching, because I'm still very useless at it. Is there anything that you don't like? When I click new posts, any threads I have just posted in, do not show up - is petty, but ****s me. What would persuade you to become a paid member? A BG5 GTB wagon, otherwise nothing. Are the forums/stickys easy enough to follow? *runs off to have a quick drive of the forum* Yes, as easy or if not, easier to use than most other forums I lurk on.
  9. Was megameet this yr in Timaru and when do we know about next yrs megameet location?
  10. +1 with the exception of the last two yrs, where it has only moved from garage to garage, back to my garage where it will sit for many yrs to come.
  11. Parked the car up for an indefinite amount of time
  12. Bumping this for Steve-o and/or myself if he is sorted
  13. I found it! In my boot because it is broken haha ..I'm not too concerned about it now though, as it apparently doesn't effect boost. What I have now though. Is I have isolated the boost control in the passenger guard. It is connected up, and I've looped the inlet to the outlet and I have replaced vac line 10 & 23 so there are no Ts (going to boost control solenoid) I have now eliminated the boost cut (limp mode)for the majority of the time and receive about 5psi boost at 4k revs ( if it ever goes into limp mode I just put the car in diagnostic mode and it fixes it) Next plan is to open up the bbod to have a look. I had a go on the weekend but couldn't figure out how to pull it out, can anyone help?
  14. The last post with the pic that has the blue vac lines? I did. Where and what does the purge control solenoid look like, the middle vac line certainly does disappear under somewhere, eh.
  15. Oh, sorry. I didn't realise the earlier models were different again! My charcoal canister is in the front right of the car. Is it a revision B?
  16. No, unfortunately. That is for the next model of TTs. The hose I need to find a place for doesn't exist on that diagram.
  17. Na it doesn't, pics tell a thousand words. The B4 diagrams have 11 & 12 into the manifold like mine. 10 runs across the whole manifold like mine. 1 (I think?) comes from manifold and into primary bov. Mystery hose has no home?
  18. Okay, so foot flat to the floor it reached 4psi and cutout at 4k revs and then the check engine light began flashing and it went back to 2/3psi boost and cutting out at around 3k revs.
  19. Okay will try that and here is a pic. So there are three lines.
