On this era there is a 1/8th bsp plug for this purpose in the manifold instead of cutting into a hose and disturbing another component , my gauge came with the fitting that screws into it, and thiS is true manifold pressure as its straight into the manifold not in line with something else. It\'s near the turbo on the leg of the manifold closest to the turbo and it has a small male square drive, can be quite tight.

and when the water temp sender is stuffed as a precaution.

if ya having problems distingushing between 3rd and 5th id suggest doing selector bushes as well.

i got my bov on the hot side of the intercooler, thus obviously dumping hot air , as aposed to dumping cooled air and having hot air rushing into the intercooler heating it up minutely when it opens. i know the difference in temperature is bugger all but thats my theory.

im pretty sure i got a book here somewhere that shows how to work out what those numbers mean stamped onto the block , gives ya bore sizes and clearances ect ect but they will be all different now if its been rebuilt. ill look into it

i run my 89 rs on avgas for drags, has lead tolerate o2 sensor for tuning only, link computer. oh and its got 192,000km on the clock , still going strong on original engine , never been opened .

its all good now though , wont be cancelled until 12 unless it really heaving down.

worked over the road from a holden dealer who services the local police fleet , and NEVER saw one covered up or a not in service sign on it while the mechanics were driving them . the yellow and blue cars are highway patrol cars, and the orange and blue are police cars.

the right one looks like its from a leone, with the mounting bush like that, also look up the hole in the end of the stub shafts and see if there is a torx bolt up there to hold the stub in , if so its definately that era, as said before if its a plate lsd from a rx leone its worth some coin , i have one that i modded to fit the rs.

definately at the drags on the 25th more people to come and race would be awsome. if these meetings are not supported racers and spectators alike they will stop having them in the future ther is another one in april on the 15th also, on call this weekend so wont be going far.
