  1. Yeah I have been reading his thread, I would like 220 atw kw. Just not sure when VF30 I have runs out of puff. I also note significant decrease in power from 6500rpm on his dyno plot and the same with a dyno plot I have for my car. Just curious why this is and why it won't hold 207kw to redline? Current Dyno plot: Previous owner was quite concerned about having a safe tune, blue line is current plot
  2. Hey guys, So I am looking at getting the car re-flashed early next year and I wanted to get some informed opinions from people on here. First up the car is a 2001 Impreza STI Sport Wagon. Presently the car is standard besides: - VF30 rebuilt by Steve Murch using original VF30 housing and roller ball bearing internals from a new VF36 (10,000km old now) - Stainless Steel divorced down pipe heat wrapped - STI Genome Muffler - Work Emotion CR-Kai wheels Planned Mods: - Electronic boost controller (Turbosmart E-Boost Street) - Replace whats left of factory exhaust with a better flowing system - Walbro fuel pump - ECU Re-flash and tune - Replace brake pads + fluid I would like to know what KW realistically with that set up I could achieve? A couple of other questions: - STI Pink injectors flowing enough? - Factory air intake sufficient for decent power? - V7 STI Top Mount taking care of intake temps easily? - Best value for money handling upgrades? I appreciate all constructive comments. Cheers, Ben

But you will pay outrageous amounts at s&s unless your insurance is paying out. If you ring s&s and enquire and say no to their price they will ring you back with a better price
  8. I went from a 96 BG5 Legacy with a rooted o2 sensor to an 01 Impreza STI and loving it, $50 gas gets us exactly 200km which is a mixture of around town and motorway driving including some decent boosting. As per someone previous comment the only downside is being worried about little scratches etc from people who don't know how to park.
  9. Sports hatch FTW!!! And the sedan has 225 width wheels, 215 on Sports Hatch
  10. Yeah I'm leaning towards the Pilot Sports, amazing online reviews and comfort and quietness for the girlfriend...
  11. Road noise is quite important due to the other person who owns half the car (girlfriend)
  12. Hey guys, So I know many people have gone over tyre choices in the past but I have a choice to make out of a few different tyres and really want to get it right, here are my options: Michelin Pilot Sport 3 Goodyear Eagle F1 Toyo T1R Bridgestone RE001 I would appreciate comments on durability, road noise, comfort & grip. Please don't comment on performance vs price, just the characteristics of the tyre thanks! Cheers, Ben

  19. Thanks for the info guys, all sounds positive about my set up. Might have to look at a reflash I'm thinking
  20. Is anybody please able to point out the differencse between the VF36 vs VF30? I know it's a twin scroll turbo but apparently my V7 has one as the previous owner (richm on here) got it replaced due to thinking his VF30 was poked. Afaik it has an aftermarket down pipe but I thought you required different headers to make a twin scroll work on a V7 non spec c...?
