  1. Will check tomorrow as its pissing down atm, previous owner put it in but the factory temp gauge hasnt worked since I bought it. Thanks for that info CP93MM very helpful might get the radiator shop to look at it before I sell to make sure nothing is mickey-moused
  2. For those with a water temp gauge... what temps do you usually have? Open road I get between 75-80 degC Around town I get 80-90 degC Idling after driving, or driving slowly in a low gear (like around a carpark for a while) I get 90-100 degC This is with a front mount retaining both fans... seem normal? Have my car for sale and am looking to knock any potential issues on the head before sale.
  3. I'd vomit if I paid $1500 and that contraption showed up
  4. sounds like limp mode. check the code and match it on the chart
  5. Ok then thanks for all the replies. Not going to attempt taking them off, didn't really want to have to send them to chch anyway.
  6. I have an auction on trademe for GAB shocks and low king springs which failed wof for leaking struts Had a question from a guy who wants me to remove the springs. Is he right? Don't really want tophats flying round the garage Hi, Keen on springs..any chance you can remove them from shocks and send them to ch-ch? thanks hijacka (182 ) 9:36 pm, Tue 18 Jan Nah sorry I don't have spring compressors 5:26 pm, Wed 19 Jan You don't need spring compressors to take em off only need compressors to put on but seeing there low springs you wouldn't even need compressors to put on anyway. all im asking is can you undo the 17mm nut and remove springs from shocks? hijacka (182 ) 7:08 pm, Wed 19 Jan
  7. Got it finished but it looks kinda bogus and needs bolts in the front of it so it sits more flush and keeps the wet stuff out :-\
  8. there was a green one down here on trademe a few years ago that had a gt legacy conversion, looked like fun pretty sure it sold for around 5 grand
  9. take care unclipping them though because stubborn clips can rip out the bit that holds them in the card, in a legacy at least anyway
  10. My car did a similar thing to this. Was a combination of disintegrated coils and a grubby pod filter
  11. Not at this stage sorry dude, if my car sells with the vf10 on it then maybe
  12. Almost finished making my $3.50 V3 sti spoiler wider to fit a bc5. Killed my palm sander in the process
  13. Just took it for a drive round the block and it reads 5psi, which will be fine until I either put my tdo5 and some stronger intercooler clamps on or sells first
  14. Thanks for the quick replies. Yeah its a standard wrx engine and 15psi feels like too much it comes on very quick even with a fmic. Today I think I will run a line direct between the compressor and actuator as said above.
  15. Hello, car is a BC5 GT My car has a group N chip which runs 98 octane, greys and 15psi. I really like the way it runs and idles with this ecu except I only have a vf10 turbo and want to lower the boost to about 8psi so I don't have to worry as much about the wee turbo taking a hiding If I lower the boost with a boost tap am I going to get overfuelling problems? I do have 2 tdo5 in the shed if thats anybodys answer but I don't really want to drive at 15psi anyway, just want the smooth running this ecu has
  16. They are heavier than they look too. I'm in the process of making a wrx sti spoiler wider to fit my boot and it's a lot lighter
  17. Well looks like I won the auction so I'm getting it either way. Had an autobid to $42 and picked it up for $3.50
  18. Was wondering if anybody had a rough measurement between the mounting bolts of this type of gc8 wrx rear spoiler? Also, has anyone seen one of these on a bc5? Probably ugly but im wanting to hide old spoiler holes in my boot without repainting. Thanks for any help
  19. i watched it once it was lame as and had too much buildup to the race
  20. Seen u outside pizza hut on saturday night. Looks pretty tidy aye, I was in my flat mates limo
  21. One more here, I remember seeing your car in the car dealer mag around the same time i got mine. I'll give you a toot if I see you around. Got a black gt sedan with clubsub on the boot garnish
  22. try cleaning your stepper motor
  23. I glued a v3 one on my old bc5 and it lasted about 6 months until it started to lift. Had to bolt the corners down after that it was a mess and couldn't easily go back to a standard vent. Got the standard vent on my current bc5 now and will not be messing with this one. Plus I think the small vent suits the wedge-like shape of the car more, you see just as many if not more RS's with wrx scoops now
