  1. The issue I can see you having is the programming of the key, with the right equipment it should be able to easily do it, buy a unprogrammed blank from ebay ( make sure it is a complete blank including all the electronics) then using what ever is needed to program the key to the car and done. The unit to program the key is the issue, I have just done this to our JDM 2008 Vellfire, the smart key was available from Toyota at a reasonable price ( $200 ) so I just bought that, I may of been able to get one from ebay but a/ I could get it the next day b/ 100% sure it would work c/ wanted to still have the abilities from the original remote ( twin electric side doors). I then plugged in my Gscan 2 went to the correct option followed the instructions on programming the new key.( took about 30 seconds) and was done. Seems simple enough except the Gscan2 is a $12,000 unit.It would program the key for your subaru, not sure if there is a cheaper unit that will do it.
  2. Well I done did it Narva has just released a h4 ( and Think a H7 ) LED upgrade kit Part Number 18004, Not as cheap as the Ebay ones BUT a/ it goes on to my BNT account b/ has a 3 years NZ warranty and c/ Can order today and it is here tomorrow. 12v/24v Dual Voltage 6500 k Colour 4000 lumens Passenger LED driver Halogen Both LED ALL THE LEDS
  3. Simple really fill it up and then top it up every few days. depending on the age of the vehicle BUT you may be able to use a bluetooth OBD dongle and an app and you should be able to see how much fuel is in the tank
  4. Going on what Boostin suggested, Anything Electronic in Nelson also does cluster repairs .
  5. 52" Led light bar mounted on the roof of my LUX
  6. Yup trying imgur as well, can you see it now ?
  7. Yeah I am having issues with trying to get google photos to show
  8. Will be good to Know, Want to do it to the 'lux and have a plan for the Brumby as well
  9. How "legal" are the LED headlight conversions ? I know the HID upgrades are WOF fail, guessing the Led upgrade are all ok if you are doing it IchiBan ( hehee )
  10. Most manufactures program in a small under reading of the speedo head ( so there is no comeback on them for speeding offences) most are 10% under. If you get the speed reading from what the ecu sees you will find it is pretty smack on with your gps reads ( as long as you are running a similar size tyre to factory)
  11. You can buy new steelies out of OZ upto 15" but not overly cheap ( also can get alloys but will cost in excess of $1000 for a set) @DacerX is doing a 5x 100 conversion on his RX11 using the parts from an XT6 you can redrill your hubs to 6 stud and use pretty much any 4wd rim other than that you are pretty screwed, I have a couple of sets of 14" i scored of trademe but there has not been much on there of late.
  12. Pretty sure my G-scan 2 will connect but at $11,500 It had better, I have a snapon solus ultray which will connect as well, all yours for $4500
  13. My thoughts are this 1/ are 04's even OBD11 maybe a bit early,2/ what app were you using to try and access it ?
  14. I had an Anycar in my hilux, worked really really well, I still have it but did a quick swap out with a hiace to get it all in one unit,
  15. The first thing I will ask is are the front and rear tyres the same ? ie same brand/size/wear/pressure if not then this could be your issue
  16. I dont have an issue with them pulling over for my Hilux #bullbar
  17. Would not know, the Brumby not fast enough to pass much I do Know a lot hate getting passed by the Estima ( 200kw and AWD and we drive it like we stole it ) Also know they not happy when I pass them in the Hilux either ( 1kd 3 litre turbo and rolling on 20"s )
  18. I am a toyota fan, always have been always will be, have an 05 hilux, 310000km never missed a beat, I have never done the injectors, the auto is good, run it in 4wd once in awhile, running it on 20's, handles bloody well, goes good. the Isuzu dmax's are good better then the colorado The nissan seems good would not touch ford/mazda would not touch chinese/indian built just yet maybe another 5 years
  19. OK we are looking for a new vehicle to replace the Estima, Most likely another Estima because of 8 seats BUT I stumbled on to these so here are my questions 1/ body/ drivetrain which platform are they on ( guessing Legacy/Levorg) Engine 2lt t but what version ? 2/ Does anyone here own one that has a owners manual/ or know where i can look at one, want to know if rear seats are car seat compatible ( believe it or not MOST 7/8 seat vehicles rear most seats are not car seat "legal" ) 3/ any known issues Thanks guys I am so not up to the play with anything newer than 1990
  20. What type of diagnostic computer was it and did you go through the walkthrough for that code ?
  21. Is that what the Diagnostic computer said it was ?
  22. Oh you are going to hate me then I found mine in a barn in Tauranga, non runner but pretty good body wise, had a fuel issue ( turned out being a blocked pickup in the tank now fixed) 200,000 km on clock for $600, runs mint, no oil use does not over heat
