  1. I reckon gold sti rays wheels or rays RSzero.
  2. I had the same issue with my v2, sometimes it doesn\'t start in the morning randomly. Ended up being the starter motor. The mechnic took it out and cleaned it. Now it starts fine.
  3. Hi guys, got a ssqv but the vacuum hose is too large to connect to the BOV end. Where can I get that round bit in the picture so I can run smaller vacuum hose to the bov? Supercheap or Repco might have it? Cheers Tommy
  4. Funky what\'s the torque setting you use on the alloy lug nuts? Cheers
  5. Thanks guys. It\'s probably been covered before but what is the torque setting? Thanks
  6. Hi just bought some blox wheel nuts on the impulse. Now I wonder if I need washers to fit on my sti rims so it won\'t come loose while driving. Anyone had experience fitting aftermarket wheel nuts on std rims? Thanks
  7. http://www.nooski.com/ This works real good with no mess.
  8. Took my car to subtech in penrose and they took the starter out and clean it. Apparently it was full of gunk. Now all sweet. Cost 140. At least this sorted it out. Thanks for all the inputs.
  9. Thanks bro, I\'m def going back to repco again, still has 12 to go on the 36 mth warranty.
  10. So my car would randomly not start. Flick the ignition to ON position and can hear the fuel pump prime and all lights on the dashboard on. When I turn the key I can only hear a click noise and starter motor isn\'t turning over. If I take the battery out and charge it to 100% (was sitting around 75% when taken out) and put back into car the car will start fine and 1-2 weeks later it wont start again. I thought it was to do with the battery and took it back to Repco for a warranty claim and they tested it the voltage is fine and capacity it fine. If the battery is fine then could it be something to do with the alarm. I still think its something to do with the battery but how can I prove it and get a new one under warranty? Really annoying cos its making the car unreliable... Help please?
  11. Got this groupon voucher for regas aircond. The guy did a test and said that my aircond compressor has gone so he won\'t refill the gas unless is repairs. He has quoted me 500 for a 2nd hand unit and condenser plus labour. I\'m a bit pissed by it as the money I paid for the voucher cannot go towards the repairs, apparently he still need to fill the gas etc. is there anyone here that know how to fix it for less than 500? Is the aircond guy trying to rip me off?
  12. If you are on a budget, get a v2 STI ecu which will run your facotry grey injectors and a good electronic boost controller (gizzmo or similar) to boost at 1 bar. Handling mods are probably more important than power mods IMO. Also going in as light weight as possible will def help.
  13. Lol and have no car for two days while its getting tuned....priceless
  14. Part of the bracket has a spring attach to it and its for the clutch, so i will have to keep par of the bracket. The middle part of the bracket i can get rid off if thats what it takes to fit. Does anyone have picture of what genuine ARC pipe looke like?
  15. Hi guys Stoked to get my hands on a ARC top mount for my 96 WRX. It looks like this The old STI one looks like this Please not that the intake pipe of the ARC item is different to the STI one which will require clearence under the manifold. The problem is that there isn't enough space under the manifold for the pipe to get through. Here is a photo of the intake of the manifold. Please note that the red circle is where the intercooler pipe need to go through and there is a plug that used to live there and i have take it off and relocated to where the yellow circle is. The sping in the photo if linked to the clutch. I'm sure that the ARC intercooler should fit but my question is should i modify the bracket that is circled red to get my pipe through or should i move the turbo back by an inch to get around the bracket? I'm not actually sure which one is the issue here as I haven't seen one of these fitted to a WRX before. Can anyone tell me what should i do to get it fitted. I want to keep the TMIC set up and not interested in going front mount. Thanks guys/gals
  16. Found the circlip holding the old one and removed it and pops the old one out. Greased up the new one and banged it in. Sounds easy enought but took me a couple of hours cos I'm a noob. Thanks guys for the help
  17. Thanks guys for your help. Short shift installed and man what a difference it made. Shift distance is at least halved and feels more direct. Thanks again
  18. I don't see any circlips holding the old one. I got the older type shift assembly 93-96 ones. Am I missing something? Thanks
  19. Hi guys I have bought a short shifter for my WRX, it looks like this But dispite my best effort so far, i cannot get the old one off! Has anyone fit one for a early WRX? Is there a trick to it? I was just pulling it... Thanks for the help
