  2. Come join in with the Welly crew, it's not that far. You would be welcomed.
  3. At least the owner achieved 'uniqueness' which is something a lot around here claim to want to do :-\
  4. QRAF thats one of the better ones you have found and why I enjoy checking in to this thread. Those Police bikes aren't easy to control, that bit of riding is very admirable ... excellent!
  5. Yep, I'll be there, always wanted to have a crack at Ruapuna from when I was a young fella and went there to watch car racing, including the PDL Mustang II.
  6. I predict he will be back and this is just a temporary sabbatical ... he just can't help himself ... You heard it here first!

  8. It's not that far from Welly's so you could include anyone from Wellington. Is there a reason to all this? Just wondering
  9. Damn good way to spend a day ... As usual meeting 9:30, but leaving on Jase time 10:00 am. Get to Hutt Motorway and join in the middle of the Ford club having their day out, about 60 of them! Thought the world had ended and been taken over by the blue oval .... :'( Stop to get some munchies and let the Ford's go and off on our way over the Rimitaka's through to Ngawi. No traffic to speak of, so just some smooth cruising. Nice roads and apart from a little bit of fog around Lake Ferry it was a beautiful day with nearly no wind. Snacks and 'chew the bulls**t' at Ngawi before deciding to venture round to the lighthouse via the gravel road. This would be good road to get closed and available for some 'loose' driving practice 8) Back via Martinborough for afternoon drinks & munchies at Village Cafe before returning home and a quick car wash in the dark.
  10. Cruise is still going ahead as planned. Looks like it's gonna be a great day to. See the start of this thread for details.
  11. This might help http://www.catherineandken.co.uk/sti/trans.html
  12. Try this link ... is a sponsor as well. http://www.redlineperformance.co.nz/?action=search&search=Shift+Light I'm with you, if ther eis nothing wrong with standard Tacho why replace it, just use a shift light.
  13. Scooby, where u playing bowls to day we will just follow you around ... lol
  14. Sounds good to me, any opportunity to get out in the 89 : ;D
  15. OK I fit the bill except for Horlicks & pipe and IMO no thanks give me a BC5 any day. This is just too much like too many other cars of the modern era. The changes for STi version will need to be pretty spectacular to redeem the current look.
  16. I find getting together with local members and learning about the car is almost an essential part of Subaru ownership, otherwise it's gonna cost heaps to keep it running. There is plenty of help in the Welli area to assist you dude.
  17. The question is "how long before you expect to maybe do the WRX conversion?" If not long then don't spend too much on it and bring forward the conversion, if possible. Go on commit to it, do it. If the cam seals aren't leaking & tensioner still good then possibly just do water pump and belt. Has it got worse? ... didn't sound all that bad last time at Denny's.
  18. Check out what damage has been done and what u will need to fix it. Then if you can arrange the Welli crew through executa and arrange to tow it, you use our garage ... Executa knows where ... Wouldn't be the first clutch to be done here.
  19. Have driven a couple of Old School Legacy's that seemed to engage 'Sporty Steering' randomly and you could tell very quickly that it had changed. ;D I just put it down to old skool character traits. Must check the connections, thanks for asking toad.
  20. Checked the ones in the garage. They are; 23300AA200 and 23300AA231 (has a 13 on it). Your welcome to come take a look though.
  21. Tried to keep it easy to get the game flowing again and encourage more participation ... fail big time! Com'n someone get the job done.
  22. Yeah Jase, I will join in the 89 needs regassing.
