  1. The problem is the linlongs, they are utterly crap, I used hate selling the ****ing things, so much so that I would purposely sell better brand tires at far lower margin and move them than sell linlongs... Linlongs still make me shudder, they were naf to fit to rims and usually damaged my machines or operators... 215/45R17 Linlongs should be run at or around 32psi max in an unladen WRX/Legacy (and that's on a calibrated inflation gauge, i.e. Bridgestone swaps their ones for new every 6 months)...
  2. Al good team, I don't have an update for this as kinda lost track what with the forum changes and work being very busy

The owner did a runner from Safe R Brakes without paying his bill and also his wife merely missed running the Safe R Brakes boss over in her ford Falcon... REG of the F250 - BMP222 REG of the 2001 Ford Falcon which the wife merely missed running the Safe R Brakes boss over with... - ZX6037 Any details please contact Mel Fletcher on 0220658283 or Safe R Brakes on 03 379 6140. 4. Prefer 2008 onwards.Had the good fortune to ahve taken a few RS4/6 for a spin or two and I kind of like them. Grew up with VW & BMW. In South Africa VW Kombi Caravelle was fitted with Audi engine and gearbox. Good pieces of kit.
  5. Hey team Any on here own one? We are looking at either A4/A6 for next car, anything we need to look out for on these cars that would be a deal breaker (ie walk away from)
  6. Elite wheels, 200 Annex road christchurch. do a search on the forums their nMe will come up regularly. I used them extensively while at Bridgestone
  7. Try a wreckers for a NZ model\'s one?
  8. The alloys and tires would be worth more than the car tho...
  9. Good luck, you can get a calibration done, but not sure if it is worth the effort and money... http://www.eparrott.co.nz/
  10. That\'s within spec and WOF rules. How old is the car and how worn are the tyres?
  11. WRX this is Legacy, "Luke I am your father"
  12. I have only read internet forums speculation myself, as far as I could tell they had lower threshold than the turbo models
  13. What about space flux capacitor boosters???
  14. BH5 GTB 146000 odd owned for over 10 years been super reliable, only replaced master brake cylinder and centre diff, occasional battery. Centre diff within 2 days of owning car as dealer\' apprentice broke it... only gripe(s): f**king centre consol cupholder mrs curbed the alloys last week...
  15. done and dusted, passed wof with flying colours, service was a breeze. Even got the injector cleaner thing to pop in the tank at next fill.
  16. Getting a big f**k off service today... Please be kind with the bill Atotech Rangiora on the plus side still no oil leaks from engine, diffs or gearbox ;D
  17. They don\'t come out. Only tilt back and forward
  18. I could have told you these 2 things without even seeing the car Find me a 15 year old Subaru with a non-leaking factory rocker cover gasket... My GTB is 16 years old Dec this year, no leaks.
  19. Try this topic for company names to hit up: http://www.clubsub.org.nz/forum/index.php/topic,40828.0.html But top of my list would be RDL, et al then tyre shops. A good trick is to bail up the below places for some items and pricing then bail up Tony\'s Tyres and they will beat it any price in town by $10/tyre. RDL do them from memory... Murray Beatson Wheel Allignments - Sydenham Bridgestone select on Moorhouse ave Bridgestone select on Blenheim rd Beaurepairs Rangiora - Flags in Woolston
  20. So had the little wee beast for 4000 odd km\'s So time for a comparison, what to compare it to, well something of similar size and price... The sticker price for the SRiV sedan is circa $36K - this is the big point to note: price and size of the car is what I am looking at for simplicity std spec to std spec. If you option the Subaru to similar money you still miss out on kit or if you option to same spec as Holden more than $36K... So similar money you have the usual suspects Hyundai, Subaru, Kia, Toyota, etc What to eliminate? Anything not Subaru cos carebear says FU to Toyota, meh to Kia & Hyundai Latter two are nice cars with decent kit but this si Subaru website...). So time to compare: Subaru is older tech & design (engine & dopey auto gearbox), Cruze is newer and just had face lift, oh and no stupid flappy paddle s***) Cruze has more power (132Kw & 230Nm of Holden vs 110Kw & 196Nm of Subaru), Cruze has bigger wheels & tyres 235/45r18x8 vs 16" on Subaru More kit in the Holden (website surfing says so) i.e. heated seats, rear vision camera with park assist (+ auto off when towing), keyless start/lock/etc, s*** you can surf the internet using it (well sort of anyway) can tow 1200Kg braked - and boy does it tow like a school boy over a porno... Subura doesn\'t list a tow rating on their website and the sales people have no idea... Holden handles well, I hate to say this but the base Impreza handles like cr@p (like a floating fat turd mid corner if I may quote someone), even if the Subaru has AWD... The SRiV is a bit lumpy over bumps, some may say even thumpy - (nothing to compare to my GTB tho...) Feul economy is better on the Impreza and it runs on 91 (6.8L/100), Cruze is 96 and uses 7.9L/100... Only win for Subaru here so far. Technology is a Holden gong here sorry, more kit and better kit in the Holden... I mean a 10GB HHD and 7" colour screen with rear vision camera FFS!!!! (Sorry Subaru but time to update a multi function display does not hack it anymore..). Heated rear vision mirrors - important if you go to cold places where things frost say lik 85% of NZ in winter... Leather seats in the Holden, cloth in the Subaru Holden are you listening to this bit??? - NO FOOTREST FFS all the other kit and you forget the $25 footrest... MUPPETS - can you tell that it annoys me? So much to compare it is not funny... The cruze is fun to drive... Impreza is not so much fun, rather boring infact... Compared to an Impreza 2.0i X the Holden Cruze is way better, even when you go and option the Subaru you still pay less for the Holden and have a better drive with more kit and creature comforts... Well f**k me dead thought I would never say this but the gong is Holden\'s in this bracket, especially if it was my 36Large I was laying down.... Controversial I know, but this is not a comparison to a WRX/GT/etc
  21. Mining boys aren\'t hiring currently...
