yup - un-rebuildable i was told hit and miss whether you get a good one (or both if you are keen) both mine were leaking so I replaced both

yes I had the same basically any excess fluid leak is a fail I went from vf18/19 combo to vf31/27 - all bolt on 'upgrade'

I have the same wing as Scoob and from the marks on the hatch (I had to swap mine last year) it wasn't OEM on my GTB either (RFRB)

Yea I mean take an outback (is it just me or are the gaurds extra flared etc) and put a turbo or two into it obvious drive train upgrades to match etc - hence conversion

+1 on that, two tanks gas either way roughly $160 a fill (allow food+beverages at BP etc) around $300 round trip? ignore accommodation as we are everywhere and I am sure someone hasa couch to rent that is of course best case scenario and like you say is the simplest solution to get them transported - no time off/thing to arrange (dog to look after etc)
