  1. Turns out my thermostat was on the blink - cold bottom hose gave that away. It seems to be sorted now, thanks again.
  2. Thanks for that - it\'s not overheating, but the temp occasionally sits a little higher than normal, and the passenger\'s side heater is weak. The Internet tells me this is often caused by an airlock in part of the heater core. I\'ll try popping it up on ramps tonight, and refill the coolant. Cheers :-)
  3. Hey gang, long time no see. Vehicle is a 2005 BLE (EZ30), auto, single zone climate control. I have a quick question: I recently replaced the coolant in my car, and have had a couple of issues since. I\'ve sussed out it probably has some air in the cooling system, and know I need to bleed it out. Problem is, I can\'t seem to find a method of doing this. I\'ve worked on a number of EJs in the past, but never an EZ, hence my question... Is there a "best" way to bleed the cooling system for the EZ30? Thanks in advance Dave
  4. Yeah boi, the money you save on the adjustables you can spend on an external wastegate to make your car fully sik oi.
  5. Can we not use the term "rape"? I much prefer "surprise sex".
  6. There is a universal joint inside the cabin, not far from where it goes through the firewall. Personally I'd see this gets remedied before I drive any further, as this universal removing itself = no steering.
  7. Yup, if you change gear while in the VOD you will feel "lag" while the trubros get their spool on. Something to do with the retarded ECV staying open even when you're off the gas. You'll also notice the exhaust note changes when this happens.
  8. This new forum weirds me out - I know STI8U as wrxjim/Jamie... haha! I don't have anything useful to add, apart from that I agree with Koom's wise words re: the douchebaggery. HTH
  9. From what you've said my money would be on the alternator/power steer belt. I know, you say it's tight and not slipping... but as it's the most obvious place to start I'd check there first. I don't think there's an easy way to tell if it's "tight" or not, without previous experience really. Also, if the belt is oldish it may be in average condition, with cracking/glazing on the inside. Again, without knowing what to look for you may be better off taking it to a mechanic. Alternatively, turn your stereo up.
  10. Looks nice. Too bad someone parked their taxi at the front of your shot.
  11. Serves you right for being a menace to society with your illegal modifications.
  12. This was our old tissue box. Nice enough wagon, pity it was an auto. We traded down to something more economical - apparently it dropped it's lunch all over the motorway first test-drive, haha! I loved how easy it was to work on, kinda like lego - stock wrx struts/springs, V7 wheels, legacy (?) exhaust, wrx turbo, etc... no real "modification" at all, just straight forward parts swappping.
  13. Found these on my photobucket (I know, old school eh?!) when I was having a poke around. From memory they were quite useful... might go well in the tech section.
  14. might be oldnews.com now, but I used to use a Tamiya spray paint to tint tail lights - pretty sure it was called "smoke", and is a polycarbonate spray designed for the underside of RC cars etc. In saying that, it you tint your tail lights you're a mong.
