  1. I have +48 17x8" on my Sti, you will probably have to roll the rears a little, fronts should be fine. You might struggle for shock/spring clearance if you are on the standard shock/spring size. Mine clears with the coilovers with lots of room but would probably need spacers to fit a car with stock style suspension with the extra width.

    PCV valve?

I welded the PCV valve hole up on the valve and just screwed it back in Loren on my setup.
  3. PVC pipe is pretty light and cheap.....
  4. GC8 Sti RA 225/45/17 Dunlop 03g's on 17x8 +48's. Rear guards are rolled, front's are not touched
  5. After seeing the piping, clamps and samco that come in the DSR kits i wouldn't buy anything off them, especially a turbo. It was all complete rubbish. Samco was weak, the alloy was stupidly thin and weak and the clamps were crap. Kit didn't even come close to fitting either.

    AF ratios

I wouldn't be happy with 12.5, id richen it up to 11.3 - 11.5:1 personally on pump gas incase you get a bad batch as Qwerty has said.
  7. I'd take an Evo 9 over any Sti. Much better setup to get power cheap with minimal work and excellent turbo on them from factory. I would rather have a WRX than the Early Evo's but the 5,6 and 9 do it for me.
  8. 700kg and 100hp, they are the real lightweight spec C High speed stability was somewhat interesting though :-\
  9. You really need to drive a 1983 Honda City Turbo, most fun car i've ever owned
  10. I've always found the passport gtimer has been 2tenths and 2mph slower than actual drag strip results.
  11. Mine was doing 4.20 0-60mph on my passport gtimer with my road exhaust, but have removed another 80kg from the car since then and with the race exhaust on it would probably be slightly quicker now.
  12. EJ257/GT35R/6speed would be my path if i was building 10sec GC8. Budget, probably 25k-30k but depends on how much you can do yourself in terms of fabrication/wiring and tuning.
  13. The main giveaway between the sti -ra and ra would be the DCCD/R180 drivetrain. My Ver 3 Sti RA has alloy bonnet, guards are steel, boot not sure haven't done the magnet test yet. Manual radio aerial, no rear wiper, quick steering rack, was optioned with electric windows (has stickers over the holes in the door cards where windups were). No underseal but they do have sound deadening under the carpet.
  14. I use Carbotech XP10 in my track car, www.ctbrakes.com No NZ importer so you have to do that yourself.
  15. Check how much preload is on the springs. Could have been done up too tight making it really stiff, but coilovers generally pretty firm anyway.
  16. All that money and he couldn't source a JDM rear bumper either.... But it is pretty neat.
  17. I see your 1.7bar and raise you 1.85bar DPI Shot at 2009-01-18 Note, highly not recommended to anyone, was due to broken boost solenoid/flat shifting.
  18. True, i would have thought you would find the gravel stuff a bit bumpy these days with the coilovers Loren? They did survive Todd Park but that's as far off road as i have gone with them haha.
  19. I'm running the Goodridges, no issues as yet Loren (cross my fingers)
  20. Car: Ver 3 Sti RA Suspension: Ksport Coilovers with King 180mm race coils Mags: Rota Slipstream wheels diamater: 17" Wheels width: 8" Offset: +48 Tyre spec: 225/45/17 Dunlop 03G Semi slicks Did you have to roll the guards?: Rears only, might need to just do the front a little
  21. Porirua can get it in, not stocked normally though.
  22. Only 2mins from my place too. Must have given it a bootful round that corner at the bottom with the dccd unlocked eh. Lucky it didn't go any further over the bank!

    Oil change

    Motul 300v 10w-40 here.
