Just a general question, if this has already been answered, could someone please point me in the direction of the thread? Basically I'm seeing a lot of nice subarus out there and mine well it needs some love and care, I'm trying to way up if its within my budget to keep it, or if I'm better finding a newer car with less k's.... I don't really want to as I love my car..... Anyway, you don't have to answer as I get why you wouldn't, but how much do you put aside for your car per week, month, year? At the moment I'm on a need as is basis, but I'd like to start putting something aside purely for car stuff to keep on top rather than having to dig into my savings every time I need to fix/ replace something... Hey all. I recently bought a v7 sti with some gold bbs 17s on it. Just been told that they may be rarer than I thought. Hi guys,have been looking into a project on my TSR over the next few years. I am looking to eventually convert my stock manual TSR legacy to a STI essentially. I am aware the TSR's have similar traits to the GTB but am not quiet sure how similar such as driveline and diffs etc. If i managed to get a wrecked v7 wrx (rear damage) i would look to convert engine, suspension, brakes, 6sp gearbox and seats. Just wondering for cert etc would there be any other major mods id need to make? and would anybody have any idea what cert would cost for all of this? Any advice/help would be very much appreciated. Hi there everybody, am thinking of importing an impreza however only have enough money for either a first gen STI or a 2nd gen 2004 or 2005 WRX. could possibly get an STI bugeye if i stretch the budget. which one should i go for? Thanks in advance

hi there, new to the forum. a friend in japan has offered me the opportunity to buy a 2001 sti forester. naturally i am very interested in his proposition. thing is i cant seem to find anything about them, i found a little bit about the sti type m which is the manual model, however this is the auto and i can find very little about it. this article states a 0-100 time of 5.8 for the type m http://www.neweraimports.com/Nebusis/pictures/pdfs/507-2001SubaruForesterSTiIITypeM.No.393of800.ManualTransmission.Black(47A).pdf . but i have no clue how fast the auto would be. any information would be much appreciated

I just imported a 2010 Sti Sedan, GVB from Japan. I've been told that these require really good fuel, and i should only run the BP98 in it. Is this true? I've heard other just run 95. Its my understanding the car should adapt...

Hi all, I am looking for the pin that lets me get into reverse for my OEM 6 speed shifter. My current one is slightly bent and I have to leave the pin out by a couple of mm for it to work at the moment. I am hoping that someone can provide me with some details about a shop/person who can sell me a genuine one. Cheers

Hi all, I am looking for an upgrade for my VF37 and aim is around 270kw on 98 with ~25psi boost on stock block with supporting mods and I was thinking to buy the Kinugawa Td05 20G Twin Scroll turbo but does anyone have any experience on the spool and power? Any input will be appreciated.

Hi everyone! Ok so im looking into getting a set of equal length headers for my 2001 v7 WRX STI, really want perrin. The issue with pretty much all equal lenght headers is, i dont have the clearance with my OEM 2.0L oil pan. According to perrin i need to replace mine with a OEM 2.5L oil pan and oil pick..... So my question is......... Will a OEM 2.5L oil pan and pick up just bolt straight on? I would be looking at getting a 2nd hand one to try and keep prices down, as the headers alone are dear as hell!!!! If anyone has done this sort of thing or can lend some handy advice would be greatly apprectiated. Car mods as of today (for reference if it helps) - 3" TBE - DW200 fuel pump - Open source tuned on 19psi by a chch guru end goal if to get max power out of the factory engine... so future mods are - headers - up pipe with EWG - EBC - Might look into getting steve murch to do a few mods to my turbo - might replace injectors.... - more tuning, tuning tuning... would love to have 350 whp... currently sitting on 280 whp Cheers! -

Hi all I have a V3 WRX RA I've heard from various places that these JDM wrx's often came with STI motors, but then I've heard others who say they do not. Does anyone have any more information? My car has an 1S ECU, like the motors i have heard that this is a WRX ECU, and elsewhere that it is an STI ECU. Im currently running 1Bar of boost but i want to run more so want to know if its possible my car may have an STI engine. Also does anyone know if swapping to the V3 STI 6S ECU will yield any benefit to my car? thanks for any info in advance Cheers
