  1. Hi everyone I’m new to the forum I’ve been a long time lurker but only now have had to ask for some help. Recently came into purchasing a very nice 2002 GT-B Limited and I’ve owned a few wagons and B4’s in the past but never a revision D which I’m 💯 percent sure this is because the headlamps are different and the vin check on legacypic.com confirms it to be all correct. problem is the boost isn’t quite what I would consider correct… Ive installed a boost gauge and I get on WOT 14-15 psi primary then valley o death comes in at the usual changeover point but then I only get around 12psi to redline and it seems to taper off. the primary seems too high and the secondary seems too low almost like the levels needs to be switched around The usual suspects have been looked into. No vacuum leaks, MAF Sensor is newish as this was one of the things previous owner mentioned gave him grief in the past spark plugs are all iridium’s and done within the last month that brings me to the latest discovery this morning. I know the boost restrictor pills on these cars play a very important role and the plumbing of the vaccum lines for this car is different than my last rev A wagon and found a diagram on here which has helped me identify a few of the pills My car has three pills from what I can see one in the smaller line coming off the blue T shaped connector between the blow off valve and manifold It has a small pill in the black box of death on line 2 (this was missing from a previous car so I know to check this one first) and one more in the bottom vaccum line between the turbo inlet and white T piece and line 23 All diagrams I can find show me there is supposed to be four pills and the one I am missing looks like the hose closest to the manifold but this diagram looks more like a revision A B or C cause the rev D has a big metal pipe to connect the hose to the blue t and bov im really confused cause if the diagram is correct then I’m missing a 2.0mm pill but if not then I’m at a loss to what could be creating erratic boost behaviour. Does anyone have the ability to just take some pics of their rev D vaccum hoses and point out which pills go where? Everything I look up just has older models like Bg and rev a b or c sorry about the long winded post I would really appreciate the help as I don’t wanna push this thing too hard it’s a great car cheers!
  2. Hi all, I've been collecting parts for a single turbo conversion I was going to do to my 98 bg5 GTB ej206 manual. (yeah weird, and wrong CR as it runs manual ecu, yet has reliably run for the two years I've owned it) but then I scored an 02 rev d bh5 yesterday with a blown primary. So now it seems sensible to put all single turbo stuff into the rev d as my bg5 has nothing wrong with it (yet). I understand it's a bit of a different process, but I think I have most of what I'll need. I have a td06 20g, full length tuned headers (slip joint type), 3" down pipe, fmic setup, greddy emange ultimate piggy back ecu (just gonna buy a harness, CBF with repin or splice), tial 44mm external wastegate, blitz bov. I also have half a WRX in parts and a spare motor to scavenge parts from. So what I want to know at this point is if anyone has used the factory ecu in the rev d to go single? I believe they are tunable? And other than the wiring and different intake, is there a hell of a lot of difference in the actual physical process of swapping everything over? I read the single turbo thread, am I able to largely follow that? Or is it a completely different game?
  3. Hey Fellas so still pretty new new to the subi scene with my first subi being a 02 BE5 REV D Legacy Twin Turbo. So the problem I’ve got is I want to get a bit more power out of it especially in the mid rev range where boost drops off. First off I’m trying to find a zerosports sequential controller as I’ve found that it will fix my problem but I’ve also herd there are some electronic Boost controllers out there where you can set the boost through certain rev ranges. I just have no idea which EBC’s do that and or what EBC will be the best for my car. So so just looking to see what other B4 TT owners have done mod wise to gain more power or help with the boost ranges. thanks guys look forward to some reply’s
  4. Hey lads! First post on the clubsub forum but I've been trolling around for quite some time. Heaps of great info here. I'm actually in down in Oz still crying about the WC defeat lol. So I've seen there are many conversion threads (mainly Rev A-C), and I'm about to embark on this journey myself so I wanted to just confirm some Rev D specific questions. Engine I wanted to confirm parts I'll need. I understand there are various bolts, brackets and gaskets I'll need and will collect them on the way. VF35 - got it 02-07 wrx headers and up pipe - got it 02-07 wrx down pipe - looking 02-07 turbo inlet - looking...but not sure if it will fit EBC - got it Phenolic spacers - thinking about it pending budget Gaskets, bolts and turbo bracket Computer I know the Rev D ECU will will work with the new configuration but I'm not sure of the specifics. Do I just remove everything that's related to the TT system before (BBoD etc.) since I'm going to be using an EBC? This is the most confusing aspect of this for me. Also can I just go into the ECU and turn off the irrelevant codes? Also, does anyone have the definition files for an aus delivered 2001 Rev D B4? It should be noted that I will be getting a trusted mechanic to do all the work with me helping and he is excellent with wrx's and knows alot about the B4 and single conversions, but I want to make sure I know everything as well so I can learn and provide answers if there are any issues. Have I got the gist of it fells? Appreciate any help! Pic of my baby attached. Thanks, Pranav
