i had a pretty similar landing coming in on 22/03/10 to chch from auckland, and chch isn't normally bad. Pilot did very well i thought, the turbulence hit just as we were coming in to land, for the last 5 minutes of the flight.

I flew into welly the same day as San (only 5 hours later) and we had a calm landing lol...... apparently Christchurch also had problems that day as I was booked to fly Hokitika -chch but the plane (admittedly they are the small ones) couldn't take off from christchurch to fly to Hokitika, hence they bussed us to Christchurch.

Oh what a wonderful way to get home, left hokitika at 11.45, and finally landed in Wellington at 9.40pm.

i had a trip last year when it was windy like a sunofbitch and when the plane was banking to turn into position for landing it just suddenly dropped in altitude like as if it just lost power...man that gave me the willies but should have heard the 30 or so school gurls just launch into high pitch freak out moment...to summarise ...almost shat myself and deaf...not a cool combo

+2

my flight last weds (24th) from WEL to AKL was ok, the take-off was bumpier than usual - but more turbulence was experienced landing in Aucks

the drive was ok, until we got south of waikato, from there the weather got progressively worse

I hate flying into Wellington...

Remember a SATS flight (Hercules) coming in sideways once...

YUCK and last weekend was like a roller-coaster on steroids with a big kid shaking the sh!t out of the plane...

I drive from now on... or take train

Train ant much better... (especially the J'ville one), however Free some days after work due to the lack of service ::)

iv just completed my commercial pilots licence and multi engine instrument rating and trust me it looks alot worse than it is. wellington is just a turbulent airport because the wind "funnels" through the straights (squeezes between the two major landmasses) and with hills on either side of Wellington you will always get turbulent weather in the Leigh side of the hills. throughout pilot training its all about getting chucked in the deep end and being made to fly in weather you dont really want to.

dont drink and drive, get high and fly ;p

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
