It is actually something that in hindsight should have been mentioned in a thread. Same as the adding 1/2 a liter or so of oil. Some of the more experienced people could start up a thread on it at some stage i guess.

I'll add again that i am a big fan of Ts2000's, 198 including i paid for the last set of fronts, i get around 25k out of a set so far. i have Mintex 1155's on the rear, and was locking the rears up (and getting axle tramp) in the morning sessions coming into turn 1 and the off the short back straight.

I can get standard disc's for $35(mates rates) but i think i'm going to save for some slotted ones but not go as far as drilled unless it's only a couple of dollars.

Don't bother with drilled, you will only crack them faster unless u want the bling look. Slotted is more then enough for ur needs, and if you can get them for that cheap then just get them slotted. Its only round $50 to get rotors slotted.

My pads are Hawk HP Performance plus..great but dusty. I ahve used them for 2 plus years and I brake hard....ish

Tuther tip for cooling brakes down is when u park up dont apply handbrake and keep moving car say 1/4 turn for 5-10mins to disperse heat evenly around the rotors. I was moving mine in pit lane after each session at Taupo.

And as said in earlier post I also didnt brake on warm down lap...

i went for DBA sloted rotors, instant difference but now i need and am about to get some new pads and fluid...

ok to end the debacle i ended up getting" endless "carbon ceramics i got them for a steal off trademe normal price 249 per end got the fronts for 195 and rears for a steal at 95 , im very impressed so far we will see how they hold up at the track.

interesting stuff. i just put a set of ultimates on, $150 for front and rears, and so far so good, apart from a slight whirr-grind-scraping noise from the back left afterwards. took the inside pad back off, put it back on, noise seems to have stopped. win. hopefully that pads go well... now i just need some decent rubber.
