you guys do remember that hes got a ver4 wrx meaning that the inlet manifold is kinda different and its a b.i.t.ch to put a td05h in unless its been modify to fit a stright pipe instead of the 90 degree. if that makes any since.

a td05 will get you 240kw maybe. but i would get something bigger like a gerrit or something like simon c has, if i have the money

FP Green is good if you want to make more power than what a TD05 20G can provide. Although I'd rather have a Garrett GT3071R for that purpose.

interestingly the party i've been speaking to about the 3071 is good for around 260od.. i thought it might shoot further than that.

Not really, more tomato, potato. Totally different.

i.e. my turbo has a rather high boost threshold (~5500 rpm), but its not that laggy at all. If the engine is above the threshold and I am on and off the throttle, the boost response is instant enough for all intents and purposes.

What gearbox are you running?

With such a high threshold you would benefit from gearing it closer, but i suppose you wouldn't want to lose out on Top speed.

Its a mixture of parts using a late model 5-speed that I think was from a Forester (had an oil pump in the center diff housing and a code that I couldn't find on the google machine) and it had a 4.444:1 front and a 1.1:1 center. I swapped for an old center housing so I could use a 4.444:1 rear diff and so now the top speed is somewhere around 210-220kph at the redline.

The high threshold is partly due to the short gearing, if I swapped to 4.111 ratios, I reckon it'd drop below 5k as it would load it up more. If you left foot brake it while loading it up, can acheive full boost between 4.5-5k rpm.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
