You don't need to thrash it on the track. Change below the redline, treat your gearbox with respect and above all, drive SMOOTHLY. :)

All of the old Legacys returned in one piece after the last Megameet. And given their penchant for exploding, as the older cars amongst us like to, it's quite a feat.

Pretty much. We won't shut up until you've done it properly :P

Mainly because you are seeing in black and white until you've gone onto the track and driven properly.

Even little things become clear. Like, Kami told me IRL that the car feels so different, so much better when it's 'hot'. I didn't get it until I stropped a good few hot laps, then BAM...things change.

You hate us now, but you'll understand once you've had a few laps. :)

You's, isn't a word - much in the way 'sheeps' isn't a word. 'You' is like 'sheep', the same word can act as a singular and a plural.

Seriously, who the fuck taught you English?

We don't care if you go do a track day. I've NEVER done a track day yet I don't complain every second about my car.

Yes, you will learn a lot on the track but it doesn't mean you can't learn stuff from everyday driving.

Just sigh... I don't even know what to say this is getting so ridiculous.

Spec C, we are all getting very sick of your poor English threads asking about ridiculous things that AS A YOUNG INEXPERIENCED driver, you don't need. Heck, I'm probably the same age but I don't act in any way shape or form as anything closed to experienced. It takes time and all I am seeing here is you blaming the car for your S1tty driving. Its a SPEC C! Probably one of the nicest Subaru's around STOCK. Leave it as it is!

Come back in 5 years time when you have learnt to speak properly on a forum so people can understand you. Oh, and grow up a little bit too.

EDIT: Phew, you don't live in Auckland

He obviously pays too much attention to the jap racing culture and thinks its completely about the car.

When he got his car and he couldnt drive it like pro, he naturaly assumed it's the cars fault.

Not that hes just a kid with fuck all experience behind the wheel.

So what have we learned today ?

1. Take out those fancy Teins and re-fit the standard suspension.

To fully appreciate your car;

2. Join a real car club.

3. Take some advanced driving lessons.

The above will enable you to enjoy your car without throwing more money at it.

;D

mhm honda's are mint track cars , go good around corners

seen many honda's n/a beat wrx at playday

ahhhh huh.... ::)

I've seen it at many trackdays down here too..... Its a fact of life that Honda's make really good trackcars, where Subaru's make really expensive to run trackcars.

ok, I've never seen it.

infact the few N/A hondas I've seen on track usually come last behind all the other N/A cars there.

seen some very fast track hondas, and they can do it pretty cheaply aswell :(

agree'd. Older model civic's and integra's make great cheap trackcars. Damn easy to slam a 2.2vtec into them and parts are readily available.

yep, thinking of getting one instead of doing the leggy, just due to cost

+1 every trackday I've attended, there are many Hondas that beat pretty much every subaru there. Been frustrating as hell being passed on the outside lol Those Hondas are absolute weapons.

Try going up against Cuddas' brother then ;) (I think its his brother, B18c in an EF Civic).

Also the amount of Type R Integra's and even the odd Torneo? that I've seen walking all over most Subaru's just isn't funny, its a bit embarrasing really. NZHonda trackdays are great fun!

I've considered selling the RS a few times to buy a Civic instead.

quick edit: brother inlaw ;)

That is a weapon, it was the honda I was setting up my wrx to beat... When he overtook me on the outside of the hairpin, it made me gone kung fu hardcore mod wise haha and actually learn how to setup a car properly.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
