Wrx front wheel drive

Been thinking of doing a bit of a left field build and got a tech question for you all to mill over.

You see I want to make a wrx front wheel drive so I can stuff it in a honda chassis.

Its a track car only so bit easy to do.

Intend to unstitch both cars engine bay to make it easier.

I’m a panel beater so no problems there.

Now my question is

Will any Subaru front wheel drive gear box attach to a EJ20 turbo motor?

I no, Your asking yourself what the fork.

But what a mad machine

you can make any wrx gearbox FWD very easily

Or just fit a FWD box. There's a few around.

just depend how much power its mated to.

Or just slap the FWD rear cover onto the WRX box.

not sure that a Subaru FWD box and engine would fit under a honda at all

you would have to use a honda or something FWD box

Look for pics of any mid-mount ej20 - either fwd box, or 4wd box, welded centre, capped rear output.

(e.g. Crowesport justy, some mad Imp at hampton downs etc)

Measure up the available distance in front of the honda's front wheels and check against any subaru - biggest project stopper

there was a thread here where a guy did a v7 wrx conversion to a honda eg civic i think.. the driveline seemed fairly ok to do based on his notes...

Just put it in the back of the Honda, driving the rear wheels. Much betterer idea.

4wd box welded up for fwd.

I heard that the front diff is alot weaker so might break. so thats why i want to see if a fwd box fitted.

I'm going to unstitch the front off the honda and fit a front a subaru and fit honda guard to it.

Prob tie in with rollcage for support. I might need a big hammer. Ha ha ha

I've seen the honda top welded to a subaru bottom on the net. a lot of work and money on that.
