Protect the information related to your vehicle (address etc)

This is interesting...

For those that didn't know, anyone with $3 at the post office can get your name and address from your car's registration plate number.

If you ask who has got your details you are told you cannot have that information because of the privacy act.

Finally the law has been changed to stop anyone doing this.

All you have to do is opt out of having your information publicly available, which you can do with the link below.

This won't come into effect until after November 1st but you might as well do it now, takes two minutes.
