AVS Car Security - Alarm Questions/Help Section

Hi Brad,

Just got a AVS S5 installed in my 2007 Legacy GT-B Wagon. The car is the type with the proximity/keyless entry and start (no ignition key slot in the steering column) and it comes with a factory feature: Interior lights turn ON when keyless FOB is sensed. Now, with the AVS S5 integration done the alarm arms/disarms with the lock/unlock of the stock keyless remote. Sweet as.

Thing is, because of this factory option I mentioned, if I lock/arm the car and walk way then come back near it, the alarm goes off as soon as the interior light dims out. That's because, I guess, the ECU "emulates" a "door-opened" to activate the interior light therefore setting off the alarm.

Do you have a work around for this? I don't need the interior light to turn on at all if I'm not inside the car but it is there, it is factory so thought of asking you first.

Cheers!

When i had mine done the installer said these cars were an absolute pig to install into. Mine has a standard key but can only disarm/mobilise when all the doors are shut and the key not in the ignition, so you gotta hop in and start within that 45 seconds or wait for the travelling circus to finally sort their **** out get in and close all the doors. Bloody irritating but nowhere near as annoying as what yours is doing.

Hi everyone, looks like we had no notification set up for this thread, oops, fixed now. Yep, the contact at AVS is either Ben or Rachael.

Ben has talked to Fabio so hopefully it's sorted (but let us know if not). Sounds like the alarm has been wired to the door light which is common practice for most cars however because of the proximity control with this vehicle it will need to be wired to each individual door switch circuit. That will prevent the symptom from happening even with the factory setting for the interior light.

What happens if you shut the turbo timer off early with the remote?

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
