there's also that the workshops have mark up, labour & gst on top. then theres cheap/good or genuine cv kit's ranging from $70-$200 each.

shaft's siezed into the hub = extra labour again. pretty sad but if you cant do it your self it's going to cost money.

not mates rates & i dont work for free,

hence why i'd rather work on my own stuff than doing cash jobs, i dont mind making stuff & if i'm happy with it, then selling it though.

I had a bitch of a honda to do last week, Had to remove the whole hub and press it out

took just over 2 hours for the whole job :D

i would say about 200-400 for this job at a guess, and you wana goto someone who knows subarus dont take it to your wof shop unless you know they can handle the job. Honestly if i had spent all my money with tony at rdl performance i would be about 2000$ richer by now

we should seriously start a DIY forum section, people write up an post pics vids, we could become very popular very quickly. The wealth of knowledge on the net is amazing, rs25.com has diy write ups the only problem is they are BS searching to try find the good ones

But there are some people that are.... really just plain hopeless at the simplest of tasks & jobs that should be left to workshops & or trained people ect instead of putting others at risk, even the simplest of jobs can turn out really bad.

i.e Today we had a 98 toyota hilux with a brake problem...... well turns out that you cant put oil namely power steering fluid in the brake reservoir, because now he needs a new master cyclinder, 2x front caliper seal kit's & brake pads, 2x rear wheel cylinders & rear shoes,

costly mistake.

i have had to fix many a diy fuk up & in the end it would have saved them money & me less effort to have left it be & had it fixed properly

& as you say the wealth of knowledge on the net is amazing, but there is alot of sh1t on the net, & what works for some will not work for others

That's Guaranteed

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
