a pretty decent mod to have for a performance car imo.

Should bonnet fly up it wont splatter your windscreen either most likely!

Seen that happen to a skyline @ 100km/h. He ran off the road and into a power pole -luckily he had slowed quite significantly by then.

what ever it is I bet a dollar it wont hold a bonnet from smacking the windscreen at 100kph (or the area just above it)

BLAZD: are you up for the challenge? Ill put the dollar up and you drive up to 100km/h and release bonnet!

I also have a GF boot gas strut, but it's so damn powerful i get the impression it's going to bend my bonnet in half... will see what happens. better than the stock bonnet stay thing flapping around everywhere.

on the prova legacy it has some very nice little prova eiffel gas struts, they work very very well and are super tidy

Why Not A folding Hold/lock system, where You open the bonnet, It unfolds as you lift the bonnet and locks into place, Then when you want to close it, you press down the button, move the locker or what ever, fold it down , and you'll be fine.

Just a thought.

Edit:Just thinking some more, Then realised this would probably minimise the workspace that one would have for under the bonnet, when it's open. Silly me That is why one uses gas struts no? to allow ease of open, and So you have more space to move around when the bonnet is open.

I remember A Toyota Windom a while back My dad and I were doing some work on had some pretty powerful gas struts for the bonnet, Have a look into them, As they held Up a rather Heavy bonnet quite well.

Extra Edit: More realising, that the folding lock system may provide for more space (than the regular lift arm) If It were placed a little farther backwards (towards the windscreen) Though may cause nuiscance when closing bonnet, due to the need for manual deactivation, by hand.

Did mine a few weeks ago using boot struts from an old legacy... Work a treat, they are strong enough to hold the standard weight bonnet with only one but i figured with both i can always disconnect one if need to work from the side at all...

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
