v7 sti 2000 vs 2001 vs 2002

Thinking about getting one of these, is there any difference between the years or is just a case of get as later model with as low kms as possible except in blue?

I've got a 2001 v7 sti in black. Great cars not sure on differences though. Definitly heaps of blue ones around but still a nice colour I think. Make sure you get a diagnostic scan to check for any faulty codes ie cam angle sensor and check for knocking etc. Best of luck with your purchase.

From 00-01 same car pretty much

02 had different grill so made front look bit different

Apparently more torque but not really been confirmed

Pretty much same setup for all

What u thinking of spending

the 2002s had a taller spoiler, not the version 8 sti style but a raised version 7 style

I wish they had bloody put a proper big spoiler on the v7 rather than the gay fin lol

the extended height whale tail spoiler looked poos!

esp the ones with the carbon inserts..

If you quote Model Year instead of the confusing year of registration, there are actually only two model years for the v7, it first came out as a MY01, then was revised for MY02.

The MY02 revision (cars built post- Sept 2001) was cosmetic with slight changes to the grill (black 6 star emblem, STI badge), a deeper air intake and dark glass on the HID headlights. Power, torque the same until the v8 (MY03).
