Where can I get the stuff that\'s used to repair demister pattern on rear windows? I have a silver based one from jaycar from ages ago but it doesn\'t help much, the previous owner ripped the tint off of the back window and has really shagged my demister, doesn\'t do more than the edges -___-

Bumping for new page, anyone know?

pretty sure repco and supercheap have little repair kits

Heres a dumb question. Ive recently fitted a facelift bonnet on the gc8. The vents have missing covers. Left side is aimed directly to the battery.

Would it short if I was driving in the rain and water got through and into the connection between the + and - of the battery

Not alot. 12-14Vdc isnt strong enough to track across and cause any problems.

by not alot, u mean it still has a chance to damage something?

i think you find the ICV is all up in the v3/4 TMIC, and its not a direct wire up from memory.

kamineko did it and his wiring is all over the shop to make it work

well i was thinking of putting a v3/4 intake manifold on a v2 block on a wrx version 2. and using the same sensors so no rewiring is involved and bolt the throttlebody(complete) and ICV to the v3/4 maniflold

just looking around for front mounts but don\'t think I would actually get one

but was wondering

is there any real difference in different branded ones. Would a set up from redline or scarles be fine? or should one find a branded version.

and what thickness of piping is generally recommended for minor mods

If you have a pod filter and it rains, it will run terribad.

Surprisingly mine didnt... for almost 2 years. I only ever covered it in the worst of downpours.

I don\'t think there\'s too much wrong with the cheaper kits, just thinner piping and things to keep costs down. The branded ones are definitely better but you pay through the nose.

Thanks for that

I mean is there really any true benefit from doing a FMIC? on a standard turbo with an exhaust, and performance filters?

No heatsoak is always a bonus!

Performance filters? Like air filter? If you got front mount, you\'ll need a pod filter since the piping will get in the way of the stock box.

Yeah that makes sense.

I am worried that there would be a reduction in boost pressure due to traveling distance of the air. is this an issue?

Marky put a front mount on his relatively stock twin turbo b4, he didn\'t feel any difference in lag. It\'s partly down to the diameter of the piping and length. Roo has a front mount on his STi.

If I was going front mount, I\'d more than likely go for a custom set up to minimise length.

Not so much, mates wrx has the full kit and it goes well doesn\'t lose pressure and isn\'t terribly laggy.

Main bonus is no heat soak and cooling efficiency. Plus on really cold days a front mount cools super super well and the car will go mental quick! I can touch the intercooler after a hard drive on a cold night and it\'s ice cold

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
