My dumb question... 07 Legacy GTB, how much slip would your wheels need for power to be reduced by ECU. My dumb butt dyno thinks the car feels faster with my new tyres, maybe its just better feel/road response making it feel faster

Uhm, I don't think (correct me if I'm wrong) the ECU decreases power at all when it comes to slip, unless your traction control is turned on at which point I'll add I don't have a freaking clue haha.

yeah no traction control, don't think that came till later years.. maybe TCU does something .. otherwise it must be placebo

The ECU will never reduce power, all that happens is the TCU will close the throttle a bit/lot

And if it's anything like the traction control in my '05, a LOT of slip is required, I drive mine on ice/snow a lot in the winter and the traction control almost never kicks in.

Dumb question

Are towies allowed to open cars?

Like dodgy-open a car with a steel wire kinda type of thing inserted in a window sill?

I have a video just not as clear just in case it is illegal and can forward it to authorities.

I have seen this activity twice this week.

They might just be disabling the brake or just gearing the car to neutral?

But still wire through the window sill? Kinda like legalized car theft.

Ummmm isn't the splitter just going to smash that off when you shut the bonnet?

Pro tip, those Link IATs are flimsy as, very easy to break. I changed to GM ones ($8 or whatever from Pickapart) after breaking 2 Link ones, never looked back.

I'm so confused why you put it on top though, that big flat spot to the right of the bracket is a 100% better spot for it.

Splitter is a good 20mm away.

I thought it had to be in the airstream rather than off to one side.

Are there any particular models those GM sensors are in? We don't have a very good pick a part type place anymore... Seem

To just charge and charge more and pretty much everything is a mess.... And anything good they keep for themselves.

I have a larger top mount I want to install at some point anyway so... I actually had no idea what I was doing when installing this. I should have put it underneath in the same spot actually....

Basically all V6 Commodores have them in the end of the intake manifold, so do some of the 4 pot Vectras and it's much easier to get at on them.

It doesn't matter a whole lot where you put it as long as it's in the end tank as the air will all be the same temperature in there, or thereabouts.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
