brembos

Recommended Posts

On the topic of Brembos -

I'm currently running Brembo front with GDB 2pot (non Brembo) rears, using an adaptor to suit the rear end of my BE Legacy.

These ones: IMG_20101030_223539.jpg (not my pic)

I'm looking at fitting a set of rear brembos to my car. Is the adaptor for those^ 2 pots & Brembo rears the same? The Brembos in question come with those DBA conversion rotors (5x100, smaller handbrake shoe etc to suit 160 rear end).

Thanks.

1 more question relating to the 2pot rears/Brembo question on the last page -

Do the brake lines use the same connection at the caliper?

Thanks/

it hasnt been answered yet but the brembo rears wont mount to your rear calipers. im fairly sure you'l have an R180 rear end so you require the r180 rubs from a v5/6 sti (that had 2 pot rears).. or v7/8 sti rear hubs.

the fronts mount right up.

good luck with wheels as above haha. I also have three sets :P

i got a ver4 sti type r

it fits into 100% front and back apart from the skid plate which needs to be hammered flatten or removed which i did

as long as your hubs are R180 it will fit ( if it has 2pots as funky said)

btw your type r v-limted isnt a STI is just a poor man version of a turbo coupe

note still if your putting the rears on a BE legacy the rear hubs require adapters :)

my mate can make one up for $100.00 plus shipping if anyone needs it

To bolt to the calipers? I have some that I'm using atm with the 2pots which should work with the Brembo rears (see previous page)

I am keen! Will these fit in a BE5 2002 Legacy RSK? And what else do I have to change (rotors etc)?

Where can I get the adaptors?

What else do I have to change?

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
