But does it have the technology to go off before some crafty bastard finds it and bypasses it?

Probably only a single cut and it's probably an active cut so unplug brain = start car... but better than nothing I guess, and if it's installed well it's still better than a 5 star alarm installed badly with the brain in the kick panel.

s***, I'm in that carpark all the time and always thought it was a real low-risk carpark due to the amount of people around.

Sounds like it was a latenight shopping night, so I guess you get thieves doing their own "late night shopping" too. Sad to hear when a subi's been stolen.

I highly suggest you get an alarm with immobiliser and one of them prolock steering locks with the high pitched alarm built-in.

honestly even if it did have that technology,if a thief want it its his if hes good enough no matter how many stars you got or how much you paid for your alarm,i live in south auckland and having a alarm aint gonna stop them but it might give me time to run out and smack the kunt up and drag him into my garage to kick his ass so bad he wont be able to steal a car ever again lol and if i run out and hes gone then oh well i was just too slow lol best way to do it is park your car in your bedroom and sleep in it lol

Use me as an example.... Had a 5star dynatron alarm. And they still took it somehow. Bastards

Had a mate years ago in south africa that used to take out a sparkplug or 2 from his toyota at night, lol. Brilliant.

I'd envy doing that on a regular basis, once a year is bad enough in a Subaru =)

Oh okay, thanks for that mate. I will remember that on my new car. Will get it ASAP.

A good alarm installed badly is a waste of time and actually makes it easier to steal your car. And DAMN have I seen some badly installed alarms... Evo 8 with the brain taped to the steering column and the 'black loom' still had the tags on it...

How many of you know where your alarm brain is?

Do you know if your bonnet sensor works?

Do you know what will actually trigger your alarm?

The best alarm in the world isn't going to do sh!t if they can get to the siren without the alarm going off. Because unless you have one extremely badass alarm install, if they've got 2 hours to themselves to casually bypass it they'll probably manage.

The saying "if they want it they'll take it" only applies to towtrucks and them beating you up and taking the keys. A really well installed alarm should effectively prevent the vehicle being started, full stop.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
