I was after low down power with standardish feel and that turbo feels like that, mate has very similar setup but gt3540 and is damn laggy. But i bought the car with this turbo and its brand new genuine garrett so wanted to see what it was capable of. Gcp said its got potential, just needs some tweaks. Short blocks built and tested to 400+kw

280s wont give low down, they shift it way up north.

the problem with the 3082 is its way to small a turbine wheel matched to the 82mm compressor. a 76mm compressor, or a gt3576 even would both make as much up top as your 3082 and come on sooner.

example, gtx3076r on a 2.2 with standard heads is making ~321wkw and comes on nicer than yours.

Understand you bought it as is though and its sunk cost.

Yeah i didnt bu the cams, previous owmer wanted it setup for high rev track racing. Yup bought it with future plans i.e new fuelling, headwork and turbo then retune. Im happy with it for now and it feels very fast and smooth.

fair play, hes welcome to like them, generally speaking with a 0.63 rear housing they are not very nice. and generally you can get better response and top end with other garrett options is what im saying.

they go nice - they are just not what results show is optimal.

The dyno graph looks like it hadn\'t peaked and was still making power at and possible above 6000rpm and maybe more if reved higher, or did GCP just clip the graph at the point it starting to lose power and just didn\'t include that in the readout?

so why are the 850\'s maxing out so early now?? (they should get u into the 300\'s on pump fine) What AFR\'s is it tuned to now as it looks to be mid to high 11\'s in that last graph which is fine..

Also is it a stroked EJ22 or de stroked EJ25?

Ither way the outputs a good number for a streeter 4sure

oh ok, 280kwatw on 21 ish psi is good though. Out of interest what brand injectors are they sard?

Ive seen builds with higher kw\'s not maxing out 800cc Sard\'s so was wondering why they are maxed? f there is a reason?

Thats what i thought but gcp said when he chucked it on the dyno the injectors were nearly maxing so hes brought it back to around 85-90% duty cycle. Its a 2.35l so lil more displacement over standard. He said 1000s or 1200s would be better with a bigger turbo. Its tuned reliably now and with the built engine it isnt being very stressed

Its 2l block thats bored out and stroked plus dowelled and sleeved. Ive had it out and got possum bourne ms to remove heads to check internals over and leak down test and theyve confirmmed all the bits are as i was assured.

97mm pistons and 2.5l stroke equals 2.35 by pbms calculator

Yeah shouldnt think they would max, ahwel im not the tuner, im the customer and gcp said its all running safe fuelling and everything so im happy and it goes alot better. I paid for a decent tune and driving it tells me its a sure step up from what it was.

Does fueling a 2.5 use more? It is a bit weird looking at other peoples results to see it that low for what it is. Wouldnt expect injectors to limit it that much though.

Yeah i have no idea and im not really that worried, it goes fast it runs smooth and im happy. Unsure on the issues behind lack of power or torque or whatever it is you say thats lacking. Maybe ill try a different tuner next time. I dont see why 850s would max out either but thats what was said to me. If i knew more about tuning id be able to answer. It is a smallish turbo so once i change it ill see what power i get. My brother can have a look on his laptop at the tune as hes a guru on that stuff and can see what everythings doing, or anyone else that wants to is more than welcome to have a gander

Talked to gcp and asked what the power curve was like after 6k amd he daid it kept climbing to over 300kw but didnt wanna compromise reliability from the injectors getting close to maxed out so only displayed the power to 6-6.5k. On 21psi too.

Mine made funny results on dif boost during the tuning such as 213kw on 9 psi

-260kw on 16psi

-300 on 21psi

-310 on 22psi

Powers all over the show.haha but when we made final results thats what it made

      Afternoon team,
      im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket. 
      Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.
