fuel pressure

I'm not a mechanic but i don't know how a boost solenoid would affect your fuel pressure if its only at idle?

mines running mint at 43psi gas wise it turned out my injector pin was bent when we were removing the injectors from the rails

now to sort out my boost issue.

set my fuel pressure again this morning with the vac hose off.......

set to as close to 43.5.

when i turned car off and hooked up the vac line and started it up again the pressure drops to around 30-35.

my question is , is this normal??

when i gave it gas the psi increased and then went down like (i assume) a rising rate fpr should......

running a tomei fpr with an mechanical gauge (not liquid filled) ??? ???

The reason the pressure drops with the vac hose on is ye whole point behind setting the static pressure with the hose off !!!

At atmospheric pressure it will run static pressure which should be 3 bar - atmospheric pressure is with the hose off which is the same as 0 on your boost gauge - when vac is applied to the vac hose - pressure drops as we vac - more vac less pressure - vac pressure opens the return line larger - flowing more fuel back to the tank resulting in lower pressure

Applying boost to the vac hose closes the return line to raise pressure

is my gauge faulty if the pressure doesn't change with the hose off or on?

or do i have a leak on my intake?

Does pressure rise when u rev it with hose on ? Where's your vac source coming from ? Needs to be manifold pressure not off the throttle body

you have the hoses around the incorrect way through the reg . swap them around and youll be sweet .

thats if you gauge is reading 0 anyways.

ok now why does my gauge raise after say two weeks i'll set it and after two or so weeks check it again and its up to 50psi from the 43.5psi i set it at?

pretty sure my old one did that as well now that i think bout it, thats how i knew i needed a new one ;D
