What Rotors?

Guest

Recommended Posts

Hi all. Need a new set of front rotors. On a budget, what would you all recommend and do you reakon the heat treated rotors are worth the extra cost for a street car? Im liking the price of the D1's.

DBA-4654S $328ea

D1 Racing Slotted $390 pair

Znoelli S6 $483 Pair

Znoelli S12 $724 Pair

Im looking at upgrading my set-2001 ver7 buggy. Im happy to stay with the Subaru 4pot set up but would like to

go with slotted and vented all round. I do some "spirited driving" and do like the look of the zoenelli. Has anyone else used them with good results??

Pad wise im also looking at suggestions as i am looking for upgrading to a semi track/road option. I've used EBC's in other cars with good results.

Dam work won't let me into trade me!! Will have a look at home.

Nah not alot of trouble really, if this was repeated i can imagine there would a slight change but braking isn't too bad but just

the 'repeated' applications that im concerned with. Brake fluid is dot 4 (dot 3 standard)

WUUUUUUUUUUUT the znoelli rotors are no way that price.. take to the owner direct as i bet your prices arent.

generally a standard rotor for a road car will do you perfectly fine mate.

Rest is bliiiiiiing

You want better braking ?

Get better tyres, good pads, good brake fluid.

The ones I have are worn right down to the slots aprox 1/3 of the inner rotor, outer portion of the rotor is ok. Do you reakon this is ok, just need to let the pads wear down to match the uneven wear on the rotors.

They'll be as good as anything.

Another good cheapy is the TRW Lucas sold by Repco.

Forget skimming.

i remember Tony has stacks of those Repco ones in his garage, they are around $100 each last time i got quoted

need to replace all four of my sti as well. was planning to get Znoelli but missed their Christmas sale which was $750 for all four slotted and drilled. they don't do the special anymore.

then talked to the NZAD about their D1 slotted. $650 for all four. Think I am going for it.

If you are interest then let me know. Don't know if they can even do a group buy price.

Just got the $220 ones, should be all good. Just one question, I just put in a new set of Hawk HPS pads, should I sand them flat when I put in the new rotors? I know I should have done pads and rotors at the same time but I like to learn the hard way :P...

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
