Yea, sounds like ass IMO, wud rather keep it stock than listen to that!

Thats my car in the vid :)

Im not overly enthused about the sound, at normal rpm its not that bad, but yeah im getting new resonator fitted tomorrow to see its effect, and then possibly new rear mufflers.

Im changing the front pipe for performance, not sound. Would have spent the money on a pair of shiny stainless mufflers otherwise..

Ditto here, but sound is all part of enjoying the ride, and its also personal preference, and depth of wallet, I like a deep sporty sound vs the hollow sound it is currently.

Update : new resonator installed, not much difference, looks like the rear cans are responsible for the majority of the sound, not really rated for the higher flow.

Gonna have to get my AdrenalinR cans :)

May have jumped the gun, I must admit I made that post based on the exhaust guy saying it didnt make much difference.

My drive home a completely different story, its taken most of that hollow rasp off the whole rev range, its way more like stock now except with more induction \ whoosh audible when the turbo goes.

The AdrenalinR 350mm resonator has done a superb job, for $189 + $80 to replace the factory resonator its well worth it.

Lol sorry mate, didn't mean to offend earlier, didn't know it was your car haha. But glad you're happy with the sound now! Also keen to see/hear a vid :)

Each to their own, I prefer the before sound lol

I like both :)

But am happy with the near stock sound I have now, dont think a catback makes much difference in power after the downpipe, not for stage 1 and 2 mods anyway.

Mabey when I get some spare $$$ will do the rear ones.

Just had my sparks replaced today.

Got NGK Iridium IX MAX from a contact i know for $25 each (LFR6AIX-P), the OEM ones were quoted at $45 from Supercheap (ILFR6B). The IX MAX plug is superior to the OEM plug and i can actually notice a difference, bit more power and smoother throughout the rev range. The OEM plugs had done 110K so was time for change and was money well spent!

Anyone on here had a ECU tune / reflash on a BP5 / BL5? Would love to hear about it, results, fuel economy and whether its worth the investment?

Are the OEM ones you refer to NGK as well? Is ILFR6B the model/part#? I got my gt at 112k kms last October and it's due for WOF next month. Will get the spark plugs checked cos no idea if they were done by the last owner in Japan.

Yeah, I'm intrigued about the stage 1 tune from torque performance aye. Particularly price and effect on fuel economy.

Yep, OEM ones are NGK too, but 10 year old technology. They still sell em cause they making a killing on them, everyone just installs the OEM part from the manual.

IX MAX ones are better.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
