Wondered if anyone has any success/advice at adding a reversing camera to this factory unit?

When I put the car into reverse the factory screen automatically lights up with a couple of lines of graphics. I know the jap stuff can't be changed very much, but is it too much to hope for that I can plug in a cheap camera somewhere (back of screen?) and then we would see it when reverse is selected? I found the instructions (in Japanese) on the web already but it would be great to hear from anyone that has any experience with it. Cheers in advance Nick

if it's the same set up as mine, there's a unit under the driver's seat that feeds the screen, with an RCA input labelled 'camera' ...try plugging something into that.

Yep, that is the kind of thing I was hoping for. But I can't see any such input on the unit under the drivers seat, and according to the (Japanese) instruction book pictures it looks like the camera input would go into the other end (somewhere) of the main rectangular block of cables, that is, not the unit end. Hope that makes sense.

I guess yours is a different model of unit?

theres a yellow "video in" RCA type plug on the back of the unit itself, we have plugged in a DVD player and it works fine but a camera will work too (or any device with video out i guess). You need to ge the whole head unit out, there are instructions around here.

While you have the unit out, unplug the jap NAV unit, this allows the time to set and kept to what u set it to.

Thanks for your reply gazzy, I will check my unit again more carefully. Yours was the same model, CN-dv155?

If you want the BP legacy workshop manual it's here: http://www.subaru-car.ru/left/doc/art/leg4/

FYI for any one - BP leggys with 18" wheels are factory size 215/45/18 with a rolling circumference of 650mm, any tyre you put on has to be within 10mm of the factory rolling circumference.

Tyre size that will fit and with in the 10mm diameter is 225/45/18

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
