Hi,

I haven't had any luck with the keyless entry pin setup on my NZ new BP9, I guess they don't have this feature?

I think the newer models may have to have a 5th number for the code. Im pretty sure my friend has a BP9 and she just had to add the extra number. Hope that might help

Even before I red this I thought I best specify these instruction's might only apply to Gen's I to III

yea you answered your own question I beleive

Sorry, I thought people had talked in the thread about it applying to the Gen 4 models too.

I can't get it to beep or anything even close to actually putting a pin in

Found this on page 2

its almost same as bp and forester models. remove drivers kick penal and connect white connectors, close drivers doors and double press remote key. remove white connector, and check.

in case of bp legacys the lock switch on drivers master switch has to be held, but bh legacys dont have this.

before you do reprogramming check the remote battery.

4 digits PIN on older BP/BL (something like up to 05-06), 06 + should be 5 digits.

EDIT: NZ new models might not have this feature (just like folding mirrors someone was complaining about).

The easiest way to check - lock your car, lift driver's door handle - if the there's a beep, then you have it, if not - you're out of luck.

Thanks for the reply, I am confused though, after doing that what am I supposed to check? would I expect a beep at that point?

Cheers

Lock your car with a key (from outside obviously)

Lift and release driver's door handle

You'll hear a very noticeable beep if your car has a programmable door handle. If not - it does not have one.

Thanks sonanoodle, It doesn't beep, I was just wondering about the white connectors relevance to the thing.

Cheers

Is it like when you start the car the doors will automatically lock?..

Mine didn't have it... :/

Yep, thats it, me no likey.

We don't live in fear of carjacking in little old NZ, so I don't see the need for it.

I've found plenty of "OEM" replacement keys on eBay, but none with transmitter. Might try my luck at a wreckers or pickapart for the guts of the transmitter, and get a casing off eBay.

Fk knows gonna pop an AVS S5 in it tho

you might be able to gut your key & swap the guts over

I experimented this morning, it locks when you start the car, but if its not locked when you start moving it stays unlocked.

The idea is to get a brand new casing from eBay and get the key cut to match, and get a random key from pick apart with transmitter and attempt to connect it to my car.. Will let you know how it works out lol

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
