Hey guys thinking of lowering my 99 legacy B4 TT. Im not to worried about handling or ride quality I just want to slam it. What springs would you recommend to use to get a low ride? I currently have 17 inch mags.

adjustables FTW (if you dont mind paying for a cert)

there always seem to be 2nd hand cheap sets of adjustys for b4 legacys etc

just want the cheap option of springs....... ;) might get adjusties later on

There is no 'cheap' option; getting lowered springs won't lower the car the way you want, and cutting said lowered springs (like one of our recent customers) will only destroy your ability to drive the car properly.

If you wanna slam it, get coilovers, or stick with a 30-40mm drop and use new lowered springs (around $650 fitted)...

on a serious note (cause i'm at 50% warning) king spring ultra lows will sack your car pretty low, just have to make sure they stay captive, my flatmats ones sagged and became not captive, they do have a warning on the box "only for show use" but are legal if captive.

they look ok, could be rooted for all you know tho.

go for springs for cheap and low, adjusties if you got the cash get new or off someone you know, thats just my opinion.

teins are rebuildable in NZ AFAIK

teins can be rebuilt by autoalign in carbine road in auckland, bout 350 per unit i think it is, dont quote me

recomend buyin adjustabls new, worth the money, if you buy second hand then need to rebuild 2, then theres the price of a new set. :(

would STi springs or similar lower the car, but also improve the handling?

Not on a B4, no. Because it hasn't been mentioned yet, the gen 3's got multilink rear suspension, so only the fronts are compatible with STi gear, the rears, only V11 stuff is multi-link, and who know if it's a swap...

For gen 2's. Well i have way more grip now with the STi springs... but that's only cause handling was so dire with the lift springs i had (got body roll?). I would say the STi stuff would be on par with/only marginally better than stock bilstein stuff in the gen 2's case. Plus "it don't work if you got a wagon au", you get squat, even with GF8 springs..

what do you guys think of these adjusties? are they a good price/quality?

thats the kinda thing i was talking about, ask them how many kms they have done, if they dont know its prolly been high kms and mite be stuffed,

but if your not worryed about handling, even shitty adjusts will lower it and be better than cut/non captive springs

and to this, could you not jack and put on axel stands for maybe a day or two then the spring un-compress?

in my car, afta having it on axel stands for even afew hours a can notice the differance in height

duno if it will work, just a thought

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
