Hi DK

Twice a day on a hot day is normal, but two times a week for it to false alarm is not good. You can back it off more if needed or move where the brain is mounted as it may be against something that has to much vibration coming through it. Do you know where it is installed??

got a s4 last oct and just found you can upgrade to s5 for $30 or so but offer has run out ahhhhhhh

Hi, my siren is not making the chirp sound anymore just the indicator lights flash! I have the s5 alarm, is there a way i can reset the chirps? Thanks

Hi there. Is the siren working? (To test the siren just hit the panic button which is the right hand button on the torch remote or the horn icon on the waterproof remote. The siren should sound. Press it again to stop it.)

If it's still working the chirps have just been accidentally programmed off. Give us a call on 0800 438 862 and we can talk you through programming the chirps back on. Or send me a PM and I'll give you the instructions - I just need to know if you have the torch or waterproof remote.

Hi, i purchased 02 20K with AVS immobiliser installed but previous owner has no info on it or any manuals, receipts etc. how can i find out which model it is so i can get a spare FOB and get a bit more info on it? like setting the remote up to garage and turbo timer adjustments. Im in chch. Who would be in the know?

Hoping you can help, I just bought a 97 Forester with an AVS Alarm installed, on the box in the engine bay it says A4/S4/S5, How do I know which one it is? Or is that something only an AVS Installer can find out?

I just insured it but the company wants to know the model of alarm is all

I want to add some of the extras, like door locking on ign on and a turbo timer, but unsure if all the "Accessories" are compatible with all 3 alarms listed above, also want a second remote

I've had AVS on all my cars, love them to bits, who I can take to in the Central Auckland area to look at ?

Anyone here know how to re-engage the lock/unlock chirp on a s5? I managed to somehow stop it the other day while trying to stop the turbo timer in the dark and can\'t for the life of me work out how to get it back.

I have a BF5 with an AVS alarm installed, not sure which model. How can I disconnect the battery without the alarm chirping continuously? I have tried taking negative terminal off with it armed/ unarmed and every other combination I can think of but I am starting to go crazy .. when I reconnect the terminal alarm goes off .... help?

I would just turn the siren off with the little key but I bought the car with the alarm but didn\'t get the key!

Considering the feature is there to prevent someone removing the battery/ fiddling with cars wiring i doubt there is any way to fix this other than getting a new key from avs. The alarm has a secondary battery inside it that powers it when the battery is removed and is basically designed to make a scene if the cars battery is removed whilst engaged. a serial number may be enough info for them to get the correct key.

Yeah thought as much, will have to call in to installer services tomorrow ... pretty sure they are the avs agents in Dunnas ..

Howdy guys I have a s5 model has been off the road for about 8 months  and the battery die in the 2month now getting back into it and got it all going but now I'm having a problem with the arming and disarm put my code in and starts up allgood what could be my problem cheer in advance for the advice

Do you have the little security key to turn the module off? 

Turn the security key on the unit off / on

 

Wait for the immobiliser to turn on (solid blue light) Disarm immobiliser using alarm remote. Lock and unlock the car using factory key. Once unlocked with factory key then arm with the alarm remote.

 

When I take my battery out I have to play around with the alarm when it goes back in. Because the alarm remote won’t lock or unlock the doors. Resetting the alarm module with the security key and then syncing the central locking with the alarm remote works for me
