2L Turbo vs 3L B Spec Legacies.

18" alloys, Bilstein suspension, bigger roll bars, aluminium control arms, six speed manual with Torsen rear diff, aluminium pedals and a different front grille, all as standard. Maybe some other minor tweaks. Not huge differences, but more than just the wheels. Also a very different interior (black with silver trim for BL5).

The turbo auto BP and 3.0R manual are about the same speed.

The turbo manual legacy is much faster than the 3.0R manual. Those who say otherwise are just kidding themselves.

Turbo auto vs 3.0 auto ?

I\'d say turbo still ahead but by a smaller margin.

drag racing aside... I\'d still go for the 3.0... less things to go wrong, less oil changes... sequential twin turbos suck.

These are the single turbo ones here btw, effectively wrx in a different shell

Go drive both, make up your own mind. You\'ll get so many people swear one or the other is better, where realistically you\'re the only one who knows what you\'d prefer.

Kinda like choosing between I dunno, XR6T and an XR8 - they are approx the same pace out of the box, just one is more relaxed and the other has plenty of scope for simple quick bolt on power / tinkering.

Agreed; never driven the 3.0R but I don\'t doubt at all that it\'s any less of a car than the GT (or vice versa). And at the end of the day who really cares, it\'s the preference of the driver that matters!

This what you talking about? Cos the seller of this auction says it\'s interchangeable between each legacy model. But regardless of any physical dimension difference between the 3.0R grille and the GT, they have the same chrome bar design so don\'t have \'different\' grilles as far as I\'m concerned.

Well that guy doesn\'t know what he is on about have purchased gear off him saying it\'s for 3.0 and doesn\'t fit and had to return. I know there is a phyical difference as I wanted a spare grill for my one and none of the gt or gtb ones would fit because they were phyically different. This is how I know.....

Ok sure, I hear you. But as I say, i would still say they have the same grille (design) despite the dimensionl differences.

if its just design then yes, and its just the chrome surround that chances on differeent models

Auto/Auto the turbo is still well ahead. The 3.0R feels great and is very smooth but the torque of the 2.0 turbo is what keeps it ahead in the performance stakes.
