anything 15k and over especially for a turbo car is alooot of money to spend. Spend it wisely or find right one and low ball offer him like hell and make seller feel like your... his/hers only option / last resort.

mate picked up V7 STI sedan with very low kms, nice mods wheels adjusties certed V8 goodies aswell in white etc etc, for a steal in the weekend way under 15k i will say and its running very well hes pleased with the purchase

Hopefully checking this car out as well as the Version 8 on Saturday ;D Just posting here in case anyone has looked at this car before... ~~knowledge is power~~ lol

So.... this test drive was interesting...
Son selling it with a very domineering mother sitting in the passenger seat, demanding proof of funds before test drive. Then upon showing funds, insisted that her son drove.. but then wouldn\'t let it over 6k rpm! Then after the test drive, get out and go to have a talk to my friend - actually to work out what a reasonable offer would be - and the mother says "OK, we go, thank you", and that was that! Not surprised that this car hasn\'t sold since mid-February..
For anyone looking for a steal, this could probably be it... I doubt they are going to have had/get many offers when the seller has such an attitude. So it might even be worth sending a message with an offer and letting them dwell on it and come back to you when they realise it isn\'t going to sell :P
    Things to be careful of:
    • Seemed to backfire on some shifts
    • Was told by owner that it had (before him) a dodgy cambelt history because it was at some stage fitted with a WRX non-STi cambelt

I remember when I took my car to an AA check and they said the engine had an alarming whinning sound during start up (external boot mounted fuel pump) and had non-regulation size wheels and suspension (while totally missing the very obvious cert plate in the engine that specified these two things)

Well, AA check aside- I\'ve been shafted!

Someone viewed the car today and paid a bond and took the car - allegedly the settled price was $20,500. Disappointed but ah well, there is no way I was going to try to one-up that!

Mate if i was you i would save a little bit more and get a V8 Spec C 17in model. totally different car and damn good! worth the extra couple of grand you pay.

I was looking at the V8 STI myself, did a lot of research and talked to a lot of people, and im glad i got the Spec C. I sold mine for 23k, it had 60,000 on the clock. This was a well cared for car (im 35 and no boy racer) with a FULL 3".

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
