Sweet as, was just wondering if i should take parts off the GTB while i have the chance but i think ill leave it with 250T axles and GTB rear diff.

Im not planning to thrash it too much as i know how they respond to this = non working car haha

Cheers for the replys

Im thinking that i will most likely change over the front and rear axles with the gtb diff and gearbox because the axles might not match with the rear diff being LSD. Can anyone confirm they are factory LSD?

so, i take beef @ people saying subaru rear ends arent strong where RWD.

I run DCCD in mine an runs open (VERY RWD like) 90% of the time poking 300wheel out, and only a poor r160 rear end, yes my diff is doing some off things - but ive never s*** axles.

I do however agree - the subframe and support in the rear end is rubbish compared to normal RWD set ups.

Depends on the treatment recieved

Average RWD suby rear end will be recieving a lifetime of clutch kicks and standstills - to be fair if its not for shenanigans then why bother doing it - and they don\'t take anywhere near the punishment a "normal" rwd car will

PLenty of folks running 5-600 hp through 4wd subaru and evo drivelines, but attempt to put half that through them in rwd only and you start to get really experienced in axle and diff change techniques

I\'d take the diff and axles, 1. because it\'s lsd and I\'m assuming your 250t diff isn\'t (take axles if free/cheap incase the 250t ones are different). 2. Spare diff

I\'ve had 2 rwd 200kw+ b4s. Very little drop clutches or clutch kicks etc. one was completely fine.

Other one I had passengers and slammed it into gear trying to loose traction and heard a bang. Diff started clunking and binding up after that, lasted another 5k before dying from just accelerating.

Stripped pinion wheel and snapped pinion shaft thing.

Pull the diff apart funky imo, might be able to replace one part and save the whole thing for the time being. It\'s a prick finding 2nd hand diffs to suit, other than paying wrecker prices.

i see your shenanigans and raise you 5500rpm (12ish psi on said 300wheel car) launch controlled clutch dumps. :P

noted and was the plan plox - sounds like crown wheel / pinion issue but i have more pressing things to think about.

Well youve got a proper LSD so that doesnt count. Mine just single spins a rear. A more interesting exercise is to put it on a hoist and apply some service brake. Doesnt take a lot of pressure to stop the front wheels. Takes a lot more effort to stop the rears using the park brake. Thereby demonstrating that the rear wheels receive more torque.

But this is all getting a bit off topic now isnt it.

Well yeah...since the center diff acts like an open diff in that situation. Path of least resistance = rear wheel with no friction so only that one spins. Nothing to do with DCCD at all, any open diff car will do it.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
