K.A.S.S sequential shifter

ok i have in my boxes of fun stuff a kass sequential shifter. does any1 know much about them? i tried to fit it to my v5 sti gearbox and i could not get it to work ??? so that leads me to think that since they were made long b4 the v5 that it must only work on the older gearboxes? any info on this or even the difference between the gearbox that may cause it not to work on the v5 box would be awsome. cheers

KAPS or KASS? Cant help but there is a sick vid of a rally wrx with a KAPS sequential box on youtube.

Where abouts are you you can try it on mine its a v3 gbox or my paddock sti is a v2 gbox

v 5 was the same as everything that preceded it

Guessing it\'s not a KAPS one, as they are a complete box and shifter kit, about $25k.

Sounds more like the Ikeya type ones that you mount on the factory gearbox?

I know a couple of people who tried those sorts of things (ie not the full monty KAPS one) and broke boxes as if the setup is slightly off it fries synchros quickly due to misjudging the change.

yeh its a bolt on unit, its a kass and they were made by a guy here in NZ. as always its a piece of good old kiwi engineering and is alot nicer than thos ikeya ones. ill get some pics up tomorrow.
