Any recommendations as to where to locate a 0.8mm, apologies if its inside this thread.

I got to page 4 and my mind was cooked.

I went to Armstrongs today to get one but they said its a import on request from Japan item.

-I read backwards and found people ordered them in, derp.

I'll do this tomorrow :P

Put mine in today, definitely helps reducing VOD, nothing gone bang yet either haha. Haven't done a decent run yet though

Anyone tried both the hose 1 0.8mm restrictor pill mod and a parallel setup, and able to comment on which works better on highway/city and just general daily driving? Never driven one with any sort of sequential setup so really pros and cons of this versus staying parallel. :)

Ah ok. It flows and only one way as it should, just not a bunch. I've got to hook up my boost gauge so i can figure whats going on. I think my secondary bypass msy be hooped or bov is leaking. I have literally never heard the bov, even when the car is obviously boosting(must be a leak somewhere) and the idle is rough intermittently, along with boosting issues. May give the primary solenoid a more thorough cleaning this weekend too. I almost forgot how much i love tt subarus.

It could have a negative effect if you haven't de-catted and freed up the intake etc. But it's no biggy to swap back if it doesn't help.

Hey Ross I've been re-reading this thread again, noticing this time changing restrictor pill size in hose 2 etc. Do you think it would help going up to 1mm with Syms downpipes (catted) and silicone turbo to intercooler hoses? Haven't ordered anything yet but will be ordering more bits soon.

I'm guessing everyone here has a MT box ?

I've got a AT and with the 0.8mm its almost worse.

Na mines an auto too mate, I didn't really notice any difference to be honest. Gonna get mine tuned for 95ron by Alistair next year so hopefully he can sort out VOD then too

the AT is goofy and annoying with the TT setup. I found that with the Auto trans, it took about 2 days of driving after the ECU reset for it to unrustle it's jimmies about how and when to shift. Now it's behaving really well, hits .5 bar in primary, and about 1.3 stable secondary. I'd try the ECV 1mm pill since I have the pill on hand, but seems to be running pretty serious boost already so I might leave that alone for now.

It probably doesn't, but hey placebos have their uses

It's worth noting the purpose of this restrictor in the hose is to slow down the opening of the intercooler valve and "smoothing out" the transition from one turbo to two - on an auto which is probably loading the car up more, it might indeed be detrimental to be slowing that up. I know with the auto BG I had for a while it almost drove nicer locked in parallel since the slushybox just brought it on boost pretty easy compared to a manuel (senor)

Back in the daaaay the same effect was achieved by literally extending that hose to a couple of feet long or putting a collector tank of some sort inline, same idea being making it take a half second longer to pressurise and open the valve slower so that in a full throttle from stop fang, you got a smoother switch and in theory gained a bit of oomph in that middle region where it normally dips a bit

The downside is if you just floor it and kickdown in an auto, or do the big downshift and boot it in a manual, it gets onto twin boost that little moment slower since the restriction in the secondary is dawdling it's way to fully open

Depends how you drive I guess

Yeah nah... It's spring loaded to open and vac holds it closed, so a longer hose would have no effect and an inline vac tank would only make it take longer to close when changing back into single mode.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
