Wheel Spacers Yay or Nay ?

Hey all

So I have a 2003 E-tune BH, its currently stock height but on WRX 17" wheels powdercoated.

I want to give it a more aggressive stance, but its also a snow car (in season) that I want to be able to take up the mountain no issues.

So have been looking at options of hub-centric wheel spacers what are everyone\'s thoughts on these ? I dont want to go crazy 5/10/15mm ?

I will eventually lower it as well, although not slammed maybe just enough to look good but still not have to worry about holes.

here is the car as it stands

Yeah completely illegal, afaik you shouldn\'t even be able to get bolt ons certed but heaps of people do.

I ran two 5mm slip ons each side and although i had no issues i wouldn\'t exactly run around and say the 3-odd turns of thread i had was the best thing out lol. Do a 5mm slip on or a 15mm bolt on

Pretty sure you will not get 3 whole turns with 5mm spacers. I think it\'s more like 2 and a bit. 3mm spacers are right on the limit of what is considered safe. Plenty of people will run 5mm without problems... but why take the risk?

I had just short of 3 turns with 10mm slipons

Wheels must have a part to play... but 8mm slipons are huge... can\'t be safe.

the place on the rim where the nuts bottom out on the outside ;)

i have three sets of rims and i get different amounts of turns on each. about 5-7 turns (2 turns variance) across them with 3mm spacers.

hang on how do spacer make it better for the snow? whopping 6mm (total) aint gunna magically make it an ice weapon

No this was all for looks.

But I made a point to mention that it\'s a snow car to let people know what I use it for, so if these mods effected that purpose negatively I wouldn\'t bother.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
