disengage the clutch

couple of methods : long flat screwdriver and get it between the box and motor, slip the release bearingf towards th motor careully not to bend it

or

remove the clutch fork pin from the side of the box (big plug then wind a 10mm bolt into the exposed pin and pull it out

There is a bung on the starter-motor side of the gearbox, basically beside the big hole the starter motor sits in. It\'s a large allen key head.

Remove this and you\'ll be able to see the clutch fork pin. You need a long M6 (I think? 10mm head as above) bolt to thread into the end of it, in order to pull it out. The hold-down rod for your battery works well.

Here\'s some Pic\'s from a Write Up I haven\'t finished yet.

Passengers side, is a Service Plug. I think 8mm Hex, needs to be removed to get at the Clutch Fork Pivot Rod:

Then you can thread a M6 Bolt, any 6mm Bolt you have just removed from the engine should fit. Use this Bolt to pull the Rod out:

Make sure there is no Tension on the Clutch Fork, then it should slide out pretty easy:

Then your Engine will fall off the Gear Box. ;D

I highly doubt you have unless you had a 6ft pole trying to pry the motor off .

Just when you come to put the engine back in make sure the thrust bearing is on the fork, not cliped into the clutch or youll jave to pull the engine off the box again.

If that does happen you will rage quit :D

Its possible to damage the gbox casing if you where swinging off it like Tarzan haha. I bought a wrecked out rs bc5 that had no motor and had gearbox but the stump inside the bellhousing that the thrust bearing slides back and fourth had snapped clean off and was no where to be seen. I put it down to the pivot pin not being removed as it was still in there tight lol

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
