6 Stud or 5 stud Converion

Just reading around about what conversions can be done with the leones.

So what I know:

Leones and vortexs run a 4x120 stud pattern and can be drilled out to a 6 stud on the same plate. But if the plate can be removed why not get a new plate made with a 5x100 and new studs? has that ever been done?

I know that adpators will just not work. the would be huge and just put stess on the bearings so thats outs too.

XT6 hubs will do the trick and some legacy ones in the front but finding xt6 parts is like looking for the holy grail in indian jones and the last crusade, its dam near impossible unless you have sean connery. So yeah the internet has lots of maybes or kinda works or i dont know get an RB what! and yes i did get that on another forum with the same question year ago. There has to be a better way to do this conversion than finding ancient parts that dont exist or modifying it to use wheels that are crap. This is more of a information hunt than anything at the moment. There are people out there with these cars on clubsub so there has to be someone that mite have an idea...... just does make sense why its such a pain

have been wondering this myself,

wondering if say a legacy hub can be made to fit into a leone boss, maybe with a mix and match of bearing inner and outers, I may have to have a good look at it,

Failing that a six stud conversion is easy, machining for a 5 stud would be a mission as the centre spigot would be to small for the existing hub so would involve a 4 stud to five stud adapter plate which is doable but not sure how legal

I have a friend in dunedin who has legacy hubs on his brumby. I asked him about CS; and he said he was basically shunned for running LPG on his ej22.(yes in the brumby) I'll ask him about the hub conversion next time I spot him on line.

Or if you visit Ultimate subaru message board; he frequents there under the username : LPGSuperchargedbrumby

Id be giving that man a medal for doing that, its so random and would take some work to do as well. I know that you can switch the front over without a massive headache. And somehow i just got an email this morning with a guy with XT6 hubs front and rear. Also If you are wanting adjusties using 08- Impreza and modifying the rear bottom bushes crush tube length seems to do it. I was reading about a guy that did it

Don't think he'll mind too much. I hope.

Also found USMB's 5 stud conversion write up: think it's the one involving XT6 bits.

And here is another thread involving ideas but not much activity allowing for outside info.

the front he has changed the struts, so pretty easy, the rear still running the torsion bars by the look, so not sure how he has done that,

if he is running an EJ22, then probably a EJ box so front axles are easy, rears not so much ( unless he running a later Diff)

ask him to come back and have alook, he will have some supporters here as LPG + Supercharging make alot of sense to me :)

Leone 4x140

Toyota 6 stud is actually 6x139.5

so not 100%

I have started doing a set of front hubs and rear DISKS

dont think I will ever install though

you can also just redrill a set of 6 stud rims as well ( 2 extra holes )

Rather have whats in the leone then doing all that mucking around. 6 Stud is a good idea in my eyes after seeing the list of parts that you need to make 5 stud work. Main thing would be to see if you can do 4 pot and 2 pot on it and find wheels in a 6 stud that would clear them.....now your talking

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
