Well, an interesting evening thus far....

 

First time I put my foot down, low revs in second gear. I got to 5000rpm, just about to change gear and heard it cut.

 

I initially thought my BH fuel pump wasn't keeping up and It had fuel cut. I pulled over and it was idling fine, went to drive off again and had an instant dropped cylinder under any load. Thinking plugs or coils, but I foolishly left all tools/torch etc at home.

 

I called a mate to grab some gear and a tow rope and come find me (half hour out of town). Popped the bonnet and had a quick look over it, coil loom plug come off on cylinder 4 because of a broken clip:

The plug pins come out the same as ECU pins. Yellow pin locking plate, popped out with a small flathead:

Then inside the plug is a small locking tab on the end of each pin. I've used the screwdriver to hold each tab in, then the pins pulled out easily by hand.

Pins pulled out, broken coil plug removed from loom. New plug installed, back on the road:

I had the same coil issue, just mine was broken on the coil, cable ties fixex that. New engine has coils so, happy about that one. Oh man, I see your build and just know I dont have the patience or time to put any where near as much detail into it as you did. Really gives a standard to work towards xD

Cool, exciting times ahead for you too then. :)

I've changed spark plugs this evening. So far I've been using my original BH EJ208 plugs NGK BKR6EIX iridium. But now changing to the cooler BKR7EIX (70-100c cooler/STI heat range) before the boost gets turned up.

BP98 - $250.9 and rising.

Cars going in to get a downpipe made up tomorrow, nothing flash just de-catting and making it a good fit. Reusing the original Spec C bell mouth and rear flange.

Still waiting patiently for the replacement dipstick and PTP turbo blanket to arrive....

Had the new downpipe made up today, straight 2.5inch mild steel.

 

Words simply cannot describe how disappointed I am... $305 for this piece of sh*t:

I'm currently removing the turbo to fix a snapped bottom downpipe bolt, the O2 sensor has been cross threaded and wont come out. Now they want the car back again to have another go at the exhaust.

 

I should have spent the $300 on a cheap MIG, some pipe and done it myself...

      Afternoon team,
      im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket. 
      Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.
