I'm gonna go if I'm not working, which is not likely.

$40 entry, which includes lunch and cold drinks.

It's a Clubsport Basic Event so no Motorsport License required, plus if you haven't done one before you don't need to be a member of a club for your 1st two events.

Bring Helmets and overalls.

No rally, offroad, snow, or retreaded tyres. This venue is too soft to allow them, as they will ruin the paddock.

Should be good fun!

Some more details, that I've copied and pasted from another website.

"$40 per driver including bbq lunch and drinks of the cold variety (non alcoholic obviously, alcohol + competition is no)

Minimum four runs. Depending on number of people, and how well the paddock holds up, there may be more runs.

Turn up 0930 with money, and we will get you to fill in entry forms, and then scrutineer your car. No pre registration needed.

Venue is Tauherenikau Race (Horse) track, which is accessed from No 1 Line (NOT from SH2 at the main entrance)

You will need 100% cotton overalls (most work overalls are nylon, and a no). Race tape to seal the side pockets, wrists, and ankles.

Helmet (pretty new, if it's 10 years old and a thrashed old motorbike one, yeah, nah)

A safe car. This means most often, if you have a rangi mod battery relocation job, we aren't going to be allowing you to run. Ditto if you have a rangi mod seat swap held in with bungi cords

You battery needs to be securely in place in your engine bay (assuming that is where it lives) held in by a proper clamp. That clamp must be tight. Again, bungi cords, rope, rubber bands, crayons, monkeys, these are not acceptable.

The reason I mention the things above, is 75% or more of new people to regulated car racing turn up with polycotton overalls (fail), held closed by domes not a zip (fail), with an old motorcross helmet that has been around since 1967 (fail), relocated batteries in the boot that aren't nearly compliant, and if it is a factory battery position in the engine bay, then the clamps are loose, missing, replaced by a bit of rope. So I am giving you a heads up for things everyone new fails on most of the time.

Don't bring: alcohol, dogs, or anything other than road tread tyres (no offroad rubber, no rally tyres, no retreads, no snow tyres). The paddock is smooth, and to keep it smooth we have to keep aggressive tread pattern tyres away.

If it is our usual paddock, it is very smooth. I've run a lowered Type R Integra here without rubbing the side skirts. If it isn't our usual paddock I will advise you.

If you have done 2 or more Motorsport NZ permitted events of any type, ever, then you will need to join a car club ($45 for a year?).

If you have NOT done 2 or more Motorsport NZ permitted events of any type ever, then you can do two events before you need to join a car club."

Leon is aiming to run more of these events TBC, January, February, and March. Dates TBC.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
