Transmission Oil Change

Hi guys,

Just went down to good ol' Repco and got 4L of Valvoline 75w-90 for my MT. What I want to know is what the heck the capacity is!

I have found info about the dipstick being the fill hole and obviously the big bolt at the bottom is the drain, but what is the approx capacity? 98 (BH5) Legacy GTB

I can obviously fill, check dipstick, fill but would be just quicker if I could get an approximate capacity ;D

3.5 litres, or thereabouts.

When you drain the pan you should get about 4-6 liters out. I bought 10 liters and drained/refilled it twice with a drive in between to circulate the fluid.

Service manual lists full capacity as 10quarts or 9.5liters. You wont get anywhere near that out of it just draining the pan tho.

In THAT case, 3.5liters

Yeah thank goodness for that I thought I was going to have to go out and buy another 4 litres at $50 haha
