Any invercargill (or close) members able to help me out on Wednesday afternoon??

So I'm coming down to get a car, and I fly in at 1:30 in the afternoon, but I need to get to wherever the guy will be who has the keys to the car.

Is there anybody around who would be free on that afternoon to do a little driving for me? I won't know where I have to go until the day, as the guy is a tradesman so he has no "office". I don't want to face an expensive taxi ride, lol.

Cheers, Paul

Yea he said didn't know anything about it as he had only had it a month. No idea on timing etc. Asked if he could organize a mech check at my cost but he said no one does it down there anymore. Desperate to sell offered it to me 7k so told him I would look at transport costs and get back to him. Then he said to just make an offer based on transport lol. Just stinks of dodge but I figured if it was legit but fcked it would be easy enough to part out to cover costs.

Soon as he said a wellies guy was sure it would be you.

Well i believe his only desperation was because he was going away on a work trip and was going to be away. Can't say that he's the easiest guy to deal with, mainly due to the fact he's currently in the wops and doesn't have cellphone coverage lol, but seems to be legit.

Guess time will tell!

It's also funny how Friday night, San was looking at going down to buy the same car, but I had to break the news to him that I'd already snapped it up the day before hahaha

Thats what he reckoned but that was because he was going away this week. He said he would be back end of this week then he said it would be 4 months. Fact that hes even more desperate to sell now hes on his work trip weirds me out. Would def check he has clear title and fine tooth comb over all the big stuff. Must have some coverage because despite having absolutely no coverage hes had no issues texting and ringing me all week.

High km and location knock 3-4k off cars in southland from what ive seen. Nice evo 3 converted libero few years ago wouldnt sell for 6k and had been done really well. Market value close to 11-12k at the time.

But anyway, back to original query.. will anybody be around?

Or even if anybody from Queenstown who wants to come down on a road trip? I realise that's a few hours away, but someone might be free and would like something to do?

Haha it all ran smoothly.. kinda. Got a sporting friend of mine to pick me up and I ended up having to stay there the night.

I wasn't aware at the time but I couldn't get the car from the guy until after he finished work, so it was 6pm before I took ownership. The only issue with the car which I was already aware of, was that it needed a wheel alignment and balance. I couldn't get this done at this time so it had to wait until the next morning.

So 8am off to Firestone and sorted by 9am. Left Invercargill at 9am, to make my ferry check in time at Picton at 9:30pm. Fuel stop in Dunedin for a tank of 98, and again in Christchurch. Also picked up a few Whiteline goodies off Dave in Christchurch at the same time.

Got to Christchurch at 5pm, and with the two stops & traffic, left again by 6pm.

Got to the ferry at 9:45, still in time for check in.

Was an awsome drive, and an excellent way to test the car in a number of road types. Handles well, is very fast & smooth power delivery.

Time for some mods now, and of course a garage thread will be coming up shortly.. just have to get some decent daylight pics!

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
